EMILY BLUNT Spotted on Set with Steven Spielberg

On Wednesday, Emily Blunt took a more serious stance during filming of car scenes for Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming project titled ‘The Dish’.

Currently, the renowned movie director, aged 78, could be spotted skillfully guiding a scene on location in White Plains, New York.

Based on recent updates, the upcoming movie is tentatively titled “The Dish” and considered a significant cinematic event.

42-year-old actress Emily was spotted driving a red vehicle, with numerous members of the production team visible nearby.

The star immersed herself deeply into her role, giving a performance that seemed genuine as she looked thoughtful and wistfully stared out of the window during filming.

Meanwhile, Steven was meticulously working on his newest creation, donning a tartan cap and sunglasses, marking a return to production following the release of The Fabelmans in 2022.

In between takes, the two were seen chatting away, while they no doubt discussed the scenes.

As February’s crisp air bites, the actor renowned for his role in A Quiet Place, lately shooting scenes with Wyatt Russell, opted for a long, warm, fur-lined jacket and white sneakers.

The upcoming movie, as reported by the Associated Press, didn’t have a title initially and has been called a “movie event.

The feature will hit cinemas on June 12, 2026, Universal Pictures shared earlier this month.

The screenplay comes from David Koepp, and the storyline comes from Spielberg.

Additionally, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, and Eve Hewson are set to appear in the upcoming film as well, according to reports.

According to a report from nj.com, the secretive project code name is ‘Non-View,’ while its tentative title is ‘The Dish.’

The website also teased that it will be a ‘UFO-related movie.’ 

In a recent conversation with NJ Advance Media, I shared my thoughts on my long-standing creative partner Steven Spielberg. He presented me with an intriguing story idea and asked for my feedback, to which I happily responded.

‘And I said, “Great. What if you did this, this and that?” And, you know, then we went from there.’

Emily’s latest work comes after she recently hinted at the possibility of Devil Wears Prada sequel.

Last December, the movie star announced that there are discussions underway for a sequel, which might be produced at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia by the end of the year.

In the 2006 blockbuster comedy, the actress was well-known for portraying the sharp-witted character Emily Charlton, who worked as an assistant. This role was alongside acting greats Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.

During a chat, the actress who was nominated for an Oscar shared insights on how the initial movie influenced her acting path and its overall effect on her career.

When inquired about the possibility of another movie, Emily shared with the enthusiastic audience: “There are whispers and ideas brewing. However, I can’t make any official announcements yet. But rest assured, everyone involved would love it.

In her own words, the actress who was recognized with a Golden Globe nomination for the initial movie confessed that “The Devil Wears Prada” significantly boosted her acting career. This was because the role offered her a chance to demonstrate the versatility in her acting abilities to audiences.

She mentioned: ‘Performing that role, which was incredibly eccentric, seemed to shift the perception of me from being primarily cast in period pieces to a versatile character actor. Many Britons, it seems, often find themselves donning a garnet or a crown at some stage in their careers.’

Yet, Emily admitted that she hadn’t foreseen the extraordinary and lasting popularity of the movie, earning an astounding $326.7 million globally on a $35 million production cost. Remarkably, it remains cherished by audiences even 18 years after its release.

The initial movie version was inspired by Lauren Weisberger’s book, a work that drew somewhat upon her experiences working under the guidance of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
