Emily Blunt reveals her kids’ reaction to one of her iconic roles
As a gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can truly appreciate the journey Emily Blunt has taken in her acting career. From her iconic role as the sharp-tongued fashionista in “The Devil Wears Prada” to her recent action-packed performance alongside Ryan Gosling in “The Fall Guy,” she’s proven time and again that she’s a force to be reckoned with on the silver screen.
Emily Blunt has shared her kids’ reaction to her iconic role in The Devil Wears Prada.
In the timeless 2006 movie, the actor portrayed the character of a witty fashion enthusiast, who interestingly shares the same name as Emily.
However, while spectators adored her sharp comebacks and renowned scowl, Blunt’s kids found her character less appealing. In fact, she revealed to Page Six that they considered her the rudest person they had ever encountered.

Despite her kids possibly disapproving, Blunt mused over the large following that The Devil Wears Prada still enjoys, more than two decades since its release. “It’s amazing how deeply it has impacted so many… and I’m constantly reminded of this as people quote it to me each week.
Looking back at the movie-making experience, the leading actress reminisced about the joyful moments spent with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci, as they collectively described it as an unforgettable, fantastic period in their lives.
When I was quite young, it was my very first major film, she stated. I recall my representative phoning me to discuss the movie’s opening weekend. I remember asking, “Is that good?” because I wasn’t aware of what constituted a successful start.
Blunt has gone on to have an outstanding career, recently starring alongside Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy. The action-comedy follows retired stuntman Colt Seavers (Gosling) as he returns to work after a serious injury, in an attempt to reconnect with his director ex-girlfriend Jody (Blunt).
In conversation with Digital Spy, Gosling expressed high praise for Blunt’s acting and vocal talents, stating that she seems to have no limits in her capabilities, as there isn’t much she can’t accomplish.
He continued: “And she’s so game and inventive. It’s one of my favourite depictions of a filmmaker in a film. I think she plays such a great director in this movie, because she leads… She’s grace under pressure in this film.
In the UK, you can either purchase or rent “The Fall Guy” on Prime Video and iTunes. In the United States, it’s available for purchase or rental on Prime Video, iTunes, and additional platforms.
