Emily Atack’s recent Christmas photos have caused a stir online, with some followers suggesting she may have used weight-loss injections.
The 36-year-old actress from The Rivals looked stunning in recent Instagram photos. She shared a collection of her favorite Christmas outfits and festive table settings, jokingly saying the elaborate displays were so full they gave her a stomachache just looking at them.
Emily shared photos of her stylish outfits – like skinny jeans and a black leather dress with a colorful wrap – as well as pictures of her holiday meals and outings with friends.
Her online comments quickly filled up with reactions, and many fans defended her after some people speculated she was using products to lose weight.
‘Skinny jabs are jabbing’ wrote one follower as another asked ‘on the jabs? Looks good tho.’
Others questioned: ‘Are you on Mounjaro?’ and ‘That jab is making its rounds!’

Honestly, it’s so frustrating to see all this focus on Emily’s body. One fan really hit the nail on the head – why are we still talking about women’s bodies instead of, you know, anything else?
It’s just so frustrating – no matter what, women are criticized. She’s either being told she needs to lose weight, or that she’s too thin. And honestly, while I personally think she looks amazing with a little more to her, a woman’s body is never up for discussion by others. Let’s just leave it at this: she’s absolutely gorgeous.
Someone else pointed out that it’s surprising she shared a beautiful collection of Christmas photos, yet most of the comments focused on her appearance.
Emily’s friend, comedian Katherine Ryan, also reacted, simply posting ‘GIRL’ along with several fire emojis.
A representative for Emily has been contacted by Daily Mail for comment.
The actress and her fiancé, Alistair Garner, a scientist, had a baby boy named Barney in June 2024. This is their first child.
Shortly after giving birth, Emily shared that she’d been receiving a lot of questions about losing weight, but she wasn’t feeling pressured to quickly return to exercising.
In a November 2024 interview on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, Emily explained that having a baby can be incredibly freeing. She described how pregnancy dramatically changes your perspective on your body, making you see it in a whole new way after going through so much.

It’s strange to be pregnant – your body changes, you grow a baby, and then give birth, which is an incredible experience. But often, the first thing people ask after you have a child is when you’re going to start working out again, as if that’s the most important thing.
Emily chuckled, saying, ‘You’ve got to be joking! I just gave birth, and I’m completely drained. It was incredibly difficult – I literally pushed a baby out of my body!’
Going to the gym is the last thing on my list, but everyone expects me to get back in shape.
It’s strange that people don’t congratulate you on becoming a mother, but immediately ask about losing weight. I’m not currently going to the gym, and I’ve actually gained some weight since the baby was born. Right now, I’m just focusing on enjoying this time with my little one.
Emily shared that she’s generally felt comfortable with her body, but she was surprised by the attention her weight received when she played Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners.
She explained that people began focusing on her weight, and someone even created a Facebook page about her – Charlotte Hinchcliffe – dedicated to discussing it. She was shocked and hurt by the negative comments about her body.
People attempted to find a silver lining, pointing out that at least television was starting to feature more diverse body types in sensual roles. It was surprising to me, because I hadn’t even considered myself curvy before.
I was a size eight, which was a relatively normal size for me, but it seemed some people weren’t used to seeing a woman with a bit of shape. They were accustomed to seeing extremely thin actresses cast in glamorous roles.
She explained the strange experience of being both praised and criticized online, saying people would call her both sexy and beautiful, and then turn around and call her fat and ugly. It was incredibly confusing for her.

I’m very fortunate to have always had a healthy relationship with food and never felt the need to diet.
I don’t believe in dieting. I’ve occasionally decided to cut back on wine or exercise more, usually when preparing for a job or to improve my well-being. But I’ve never lost weight because someone told me I was overweight. It’s always been about changing my own mindset.
Last summer, Emily announced her engagement on Instagram. She shared a photo with her fiancé, Alistair, 40, showing off her diamond ring and wrote, ‘It’s Friday, I’m in love!’
The couple have been acquainted for nearly thirty years, as her mother and Alistair’s stepmother, Jane Garner, are sisters.
Emily and Alistair first met because their families became connected when Emily’s aunt began dating Alistair’s father, Stephen Garner, in the early 1990s. They later married in 1994, but sadly, Stephen passed away in 2023, leaving Emily heartbroken.
