34-year-old actor from The Inbetweeners, known for his roles, has left critics impressed with his steamy, lingerie-filled love scenes and bold nude tennis sequences in the show.
Emily, who’s been actively publicizing the popular Disney+ show, recently shared a heartwarming flashback picture alongside her fellow actor, David Tennant, known for his role as Tony in the series.
During the filming process, the actress, known for portraying the deputy prime minister’s spouse, Sarah Stratton, posted a picture taken with Dame Jilly Cooper, the renowned author of ‘Rivals’, as well.
Emily emphasized during her interview on Monday’s Loose Women that the world could benefit from having Rivals to serve as a means of escaping from everyday life.
In her discussion about rivals, the comedian acknowledged that the Me Too movement played a significant role in revitalizing sexual content on television, as it had previously been stifled by inappropriate behaviors.
Emily made it clear that her involvement in provocative film scenes doesn’t compromise her efforts to fight against female violence and abuse.
In conversation with Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Katie Piper, and Brenda Edwards, Emily praised the series for addressing delicate topics in a thoughtful manner.
She expressed her view that “the current situation demands such a thing, and it serves as an escape. It sensitively tackles profound issues, and it does so exceptionally well.
It’s quite uncommon, yet presents a unique situation to maneuver through. However, it demonstrates to me that at last, people are realizing the importance of putting such measures in place.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but feel disheartened. The joyful moments that used to bring us together seem to be tainted now. It’s as if the unscrupulous have taken away our fun. But thankfully, the Me Too movement has stepped in and established crucial boundaries, ensuring a safer environment for everyone involved.
She continued: ‘I am actually fine with it [stripping] you know. People think you can’t do both. [campaign for women against sexual harassments while going nude on TV].
I find myself right where destiny intended, as we employ intimacy coordinators, ensuring a high level of professionalism throughout our work.
“I won’t alter my actions as this is my job; it’s up to others to be mindful of their own behavior.
This year, Emily was featured in a campaign labeled as ‘challenging’, carrying the tagline ‘I’m requesting it’. The aim of this campaign is to advocate for modifications in the legal system regarding rape and sexual assault.
Previously, the TV personality had delved into the concerning surge of cyber sexual harassment, featuring in a BBC2 documentary titled “Emily Atack: Seeking Consent,” following her own persistent daily harassment on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
Emily mentioned that one of her recurring online harassers is a man who’s married with children, and he often sets up false accounts to send her inappropriate, sexual content.
Previously, she detailed why she advocates for stricter anti-harassment legislation and how such incidents affect not only her but also her family’s emotional wellbeing.

In another version of events, Emily’s character, Sarah, is wedded to Deputy Prime Minister Paul Stratton. However, she is secretly involved with Tory MP Rupert Campbell-Black, portrayed by Alex in this scenario.
Regarding the provocative sequences, Emily commented to Sky News: “It feels incredibly freeing, though I know some will attempt to twist my actions into a negative perspective. Given that I am a woman, such reactions are inevitable.
‘What I want to make clear is that I’m right where I should be, which is at my job. I’m fulfilling a role, and I feel completely at ease with it.’
Emily has also spoken about how she finds attitudes to nudity frustrating.
Earlier, the star said to The Radio Times, “Regardless of what you choose, it seems like there’s no winning. If you decide to keep your clothes on, people might label you as a prudish nun; but if you decide to take them off, you’re seen as promiscuous.
If a part in my job necessitates nudity and it aligns with the plot, ensuring safety, then I am undeniably in the right place. It was made clear from the start that the script involved nudity and intimate scenes, so everyone was aware of the nature of the project.
“I find these types of jobs quite enjoyable. Being young, I can’t help but feel a sense of freedom. I truly relish the tasks at hand. Plus, since it’s Jilly Cooper, it feels like an immense privilege to be part of it.
The series, titled “Rivals,” is inspired by a 1988 book by Jilly, and delves into the ruthless landscape of autonomous television stations during the year 1986.
