Emily Atack playfully admitted she was longing for casual encounters while finding it hard to fall asleep on Wednesday night.
The 36-year-old actress posted a video to her Instagram Story from bed. In the background, you could hear her fiancé, Alistair Garner, snoring, and her dog was comfortably sleeping on her pillow beside her head.
She was clearly struggling to sleep, and the memories of her past relationships kept her awake.
She shared a video with the caption ‘I really miss casual hookups,’ and asked her followers to listen to her partner snoring in the background.
She and Alistair became engaged in July after their son, Barney, was born in June 2024.
The actress, known for her role in The Inbetweeners, has recently left London to live in a charming village. It’s conveniently located just 15 minutes away from her mother and where she grew up.
According to a source, she’s recently moved back to live close to her mother – just a 15-minute drive away in a nearby village. She hadn’t lived so close to her family in 20 years.
Her newfound strength comes from the man she loves and the self-assurance he’s inspired in her.
Her role in Rivals has been her biggest breakthrough yet, and now she’s finally living the life she’s always dreamed of.
The Daily Mail has contacted Emily’s representatives for comment.
This follows Emily continuing to showcase her weight loss, after facing claims she used weight-loss injections.
The actress recently shared some glamorous Instagram photos showing off her new figure, wearing a stylish black mini dress from Agent Provocateur.
Emily faced accusations of using weight-loss injections after showing off her noticeably slimmer figure around Christmastime.
A carousel of photos that Emily shared sparked an outrageous reaction from her followers.
Her online comments were flooded with messages, and many fans quickly came to her defense after some people speculated she was using products to lose weight.
‘Skinny jabs are jabbing,’ wrote one follower as another asked, ‘on the jabs? Looks good tho’.
Others questioned: ‘Are you on Mounjaro?’ and ‘That jab is making its rounds!’
One fan defended Emily, asking, “Why are we still focusing on women’s bodies?”
It’s a no-win situation for women – we’re criticized for being either overweight or underweight. While I understand you found her attractive, a woman’s body is never appropriate public discussion. She’s simply beautiful, and that’s enough.
Someone else pointed out that it’s disappointing she shared a beautiful collection of Christmas photos, yet most of the comments focused on her appearance.
Emily’s friend, comedian Katherine Ryan, also reacted with enthusiastic support, simply posting ‘GIRL’ along with several fire emojis.
Shortly after giving birth, Emily shared that she’d received a lot of questions about losing weight, but she wasn’t feeling pressured to quickly return to exercising.
In a November 2024 interview on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, Emily explained that having a baby can be incredibly freeing. She described how pregnancy dramatically changes your perspective, making you see your body in a completely new way after it goes through so much.
It’s strange – when you’re pregnant, your body changes and people often focus on that, then immediately after giving birth, which is an incredible experience, the first question you get is about losing weight and getting back to the gym.
Emily chuckled, “You’ve got to be joking! I just gave birth, and I’m completely drained. I literally pushed a baby out of my body!”
Going to the gym is the last thing on my list, but everyone expects me to get in shape again.
It’s strange – people don’t seem to celebrate the joy of becoming a mother. Instead, they immediately ask about losing the baby weight. I haven’t been back to the gym yet, and honestly, I’ve gained a little weight since the baby was born. Right now, I’m just focusing on enjoying this time with my little one.
Emily shared that she’s generally been comfortable with her body, but she was surprised by the attention and comments about her weight after landing her popular role as Charlotte Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners.
She explained that people began to focus on her weight, and someone even created a Facebook page about her – Charlotte Hinchcliffe – which she found incredibly hurtful. She was shocked by the negativity and how people were commenting on her body.
People started trying to look on the bright side, pointing out that we were finally seeing more diverse body types represented on TV, even in traditionally glamorous roles. It was actually news to me that anyone considered me curvy!
I was a size eight, which was a fairly small size, and I remember some people being surprised because they weren’t used to seeing women on screen who weren’t extremely thin. They were accustomed to very underweight actresses being cast in glamorous roles.
She explained the strange experience of being both praised and criticized online, saying people would call her both sexy and beautiful, then turn around and call her fat and ugly. It was incredibly confusing for her.
I’m very fortunate to have always maintained a healthy relationship with food and never felt the need to diet.
I don’t believe in dieting. I’ve occasionally decided to cut back on wine and exercise more, usually when preparing for a job or to improve my well-being. But I’ve never lost weight because someone told me I was overweight. It’s always been about changing my own mindset.
