Emily Atack jokes she was ‘fully clothed’ as she attended Wimbledon – after THAT naked tennis scene in racy series Rivals

Emily Atack humorously commented on her attire at the recent Wimbledon event, contrasting it with her previous appearance in a famous nude tennis scene from the provocative show, Rivals.

Last year, the actress, aged 35, appeared nude on screen when she portrayed Sarah Stratton in Disney’s bawdy comedy series. This series was adapted from the 1988 novel “Jilly Cooper.

In the well-known sequence, Emily’s character, Sarah, engages in a game of tennis with Rupert Campbell Black, portrayed by Alex Hassell, both characters being in their natural state without clothing.

In this scene, the lovers’ intimacy is disrupted when Agatha (played by Bella Maclean) enters. To maintain decorum, Sarah quickly conceals herself using tennis balls, while Rupert exhibits courage and continues without any clothing in a rather explicit sequence.

This standout moment from the popular series was considered one of the most impactful TV events of the year, earning a nomination for the “Memorable Moment” award at the 2025 TV BAFTAs.

On Wednesday, Emily uploaded pictures from Wimbledon to Instagram, displaying her stylish ensemble consisting of cream and black attire.

The blonde beauty then joked in her caption: ‘Fully clothed tennis this time…

I’m astonished that I was asked to attend events like this. A big thanks to @wimbledon for an enchanting day, and a heartfelt appreciation goes to @pimsgb for complementing my attire so well with the drinks!

Upon airing of Emily’s revealing Rival’s scene, I found myself compelled to counteract the harmful advances from internet trolls, whose comments were disturbingly sexual in nature.

After Emily’s daring Rivals scene aired, I had to defend against online bullies who made inappropriate and aggressive moves towards her.

Emily expressed her annoyance following the criticism about the nude scene, stating that it’s all part of her role and duties.

In an interview with The Times, she stated, “I had a feeling something similar might occur, but not so swiftly. As I’m occupied at work and performing my role, that particular scene is crucial to the storyline.

‘I am exactly where I need to be. 

I don’t have the power to regulate inappropriate sexual behavior, but I will persist in advocating and battling for women’s liberties.

It’s unfair that I get criticized for performing a scene such as this; the positive recognition I deserve should not come with negativity.

Emily strongly rebuked a person who advised her that she ought to be prepared for messages when taking on provocative roles. Instead, she firmly contended that she should not be forced to leave her profession due to the harsh comments from online bullies.

Additionally, Emily admitted that she now feels more confident and alluring than before, following her liberated nude tennis moment and passionate encounters dressed in lingerie depicted in the movie “Rivals”.

She told Hello!: ‘People keep asking me if I’m going to the gym but I’m not. 

As a mother, I carry some rounded curves, I’m in good health, feeling more seductive than before, and playing a captivating character in an outstanding television show.

‘During my teenage years, I aspired to become a size eight or ten. Sadly, the worth of an individual is often tied to their size, but this isn’t how it should be.’

Regarding that memorable nude scene, Emily mused: “Indeed, it was quite nerve-wracking, but by the close of the day, I felt remarkably free.

‘It’s such a famous scene in the book and I wanted to get it right.’
