Emily Atack joins her lookalike sister Martha as glamorous siblings enjoy a swanky Champagne lunch at Langan’s

On Thursday, Emily Atack enjoyed a luxurious Champagne lunch with her sister, Martha, who bears a strong resemblance to her, at Langan’s Brasserie in London.

The actress, 35, wore an elegant long sleeved gown which featured a plunging neckline.

Martha, a 34-year-old talent manager, wore a gold satin dress with a single-shoulder strap.

She paired the outfit with black tights and finished the look with classic stiletto heels.

The stylish siblings smiled for pictures at the event, sipping Perrier-Jouët champagne and chatting with other famous guests.

Emily and her sister have been helping with the wedding preparations for the actress and her future husband, Alistair Garner.

The TV star revealed she was engaged back in July, and now, four months later, she’s officially started planning her wedding.

Emily has began the hunt for the perfect wedding dress and enlisted the help of her little sister.

Earlier this month, the actress shared posts from friends and her sister, Martha, showing them trying on wedding dresses together at the store Evelie.

They excitedly announced the wedding preparations had started, sharing photos of the happy bride-to-be with captions like ‘weeeeeeeee <3’ and ‘it’s happening!’

Emily looked stunning in a black top and matching pants, accessorized with a gold necklace, as she celebrated with friends over champagne.

The actress from The Rivals immediately began browsing the many white dresses, and a long, flowing tulle gown quickly stood out to her.

She announced her engagement on Instagram over the summer, sharing a sweet photo with her fiancé, Alistair, 39. The picture featured her sparkling diamond ring, and she captioned it simply, ‘It’s Friday, I’m in love’.

The couple have been acquainted for nearly thirty years because of a family connection: her mother and Alistair’s stepmother, Jane Garner, are sisters.

Emily and Alistair first met because their families became connected when Emily’s aunt began dating Alistair’s father, Stephen Garner, in the early 1990s. They later married in 1994, and Stephen’s recent passing in 2023 was deeply upsetting for Emily.

In her 2019 autobiography, Are We There Yet?, Emily hinted that her connection with Alistair stemmed from a profound understanding she shares with her cousins. She suggests this deep connection played a role in the relationship.

She believes cousins are amazing – as good as the original Game Boy! They’re like a mix of siblings and friends. They share some family resemblance, but are still their own people.

You and this person share a remarkably close understanding, and you generally show them a little more politeness and consideration than you do your siblings.

You know, as someone who really values close relationships, it honestly breaks my heart when I hear people don’t have that with their cousins. I was so lucky – mine were my absolute best friends growing up, and honestly, they still are today. It’s a bond like no other!

She has many cousins because both her parents, actress Kate and singer Keith Atack, come from large families. Her parents separated in 2007.
