Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen’s Iconic 90s Action Comedy Hits Tubi Next Month!

In a more relaxed and conversational tone, the 1990 action-comedy “Men at Work,” penned and helmed by Emilio Estevez, is set to arrive next month for viewing.

Starting June 1st, I’ll be able to stream the classic ‘Men at Work’. Originally released in theaters back in August 1990, this movie brings Charlie Sheen (yes, that Sheen from ‘Two and A Half Men’) and his real-life brother, Estevez, together as a duo of mischievous garbage men. While on their rounds, they stumble upon the body of a local politico! Made with a budget of $9 million, it proved to be a modest hit at the box office, raking in around $16.2 million worldwide. Critics were divided on its merits, giving it a 30% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But for film enthusiasts like me, that’s just another reason to give it a watch!

In this movie, trash collectors Carl Taylor (Sheen) and James Saint St. James (Estevesz) encounter an unexpected roadblock: a deceased local politician. They team up with Louis, played by Keith David, a veteran of the Vietnam War who’s determined to solve the crime without bringing in law enforcement. The cast also includes Leslie Hope, Darrell Larson, Dean Cameron, and John Getz in supporting roles.

Sheen’s Canceled Max Series

After completing a previous project featuring Charlie Sheen, Men at Work is now available on Tubi. This series, which featured Sebastian Maniscalco and often had Sheen as a guest star playing a fictionalized version of himself, is now ready for streaming.

Following a reconciliation between Sheen and Lorre, many years after Sheen’s dismissal from Two and a Half Men, their friendship rekindled on the show. As Lorre put it, “I felt a bit anxious at first, but as soon as we began conversing, I was reminded of our past camaraderie.” He continued, “The bond between us seemed to resurface instantly. It wasn’t overly sentimental, but it did bring a sense of healing. Moreover, Sheen was more than willing to poke fun at himself. When he joined the table read for that episode, I greeted him with a warm embrace. It was truly delightful.
