Embattled Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams says people are hugging her in the street as she reveals her new morning routine now she’s ‘working from home’ after BBC ‘bullying probe’

Kaye Adams has spoken about the significant changes in her life following accusations of bullying younger colleagues at BBC Scotland.

The 62-year-old TV and radio personality, who makes about £155,000 annually, was taken off the air after accusations were made through the broadcaster’s reporting system.

On the latest episode of her podcast, How To Be 60, co-hosted with Karen MacKenzie, Kaye shared a recent happy moment and revealed that kind strangers had unexpectedly offered her support.

She said happy moments have been scarce lately, then shared a heartwarming experience from the day before. While walking her dog, Bee, two different women unexpectedly came up and hugged her – one was an old acquaintance, and the other was a complete stranger.

She described it as a perfect moment, adding with a smile, ‘She was a beautiful woman. I honestly could have stayed there forever – it was just a really pleasant experience.’

Kaye shared that since leaving her job at the BBC, she’s established a new morning routine. She also confessed that working from home simply wasn’t an option for her.

Throughout my career, I’ve always worked under pressure to meet deadlines. It’s been a constant – whether a show needed to start at 1 PM or 9 PM. I’m so used to it now, it’s almost automatic, like a reflex – I’m completely conditioned to respond to those time constraints, much like Pavlov’s dog.

I have a lot on my plate, like trying to turn my podcast into a profitable venture. But without any strict deadlines, I’m a master of procrastination! Seriously, I could waste time all day long.

I struggle with self-discipline. I try to motivate myself by setting deadlines, but it’s difficult to stick to them.

I’ve noticed she’s been having a really tough time getting going in the mornings lately. It’s funny, now that she doesn’t have to rush, she’s actually finding it harder! She’s even told me she’s completely stopped eating breakfast – she just doesn’t bother anymore.

Kaye mentioned she’s been feeling the cold more now that she’s home more often, but she’s reluctant to turn the heating on. She even admitted she and her dog, Bee, go for walks just to warm up – it was only nine degrees Celsius inside, and she didn’t want to increase the temperature.

I usually start feeling cold and put on warmer clothes around 6:30 or 7 PM, but not before. I really like wearing my comfortable house coat, and I’ve noticed my dog, Bee, has been getting chilly on the couch. So, I got her a little dressing gown too!

We like to relax in our robes, but when we get chilly, we head outside for a walk to get warm.

Kaye recently told The Mail on Sunday that after a very difficult three weeks, during which her reputation was damaged by public accusations, BBC Scotland still hadn’t shared any specifics about what she was accused of.

The Strictly Come Dancing star said she’s been overwhelmed with kind messages from people she’s known personally and worked with over the years, and she’s deeply grateful for their support.

According to The Mail on Sunday, BBC managers are asking employees about the presenter’s behavior going back several years as part of their current investigation.

I can’t believe this is happening! They’re questioning everyone who works with Kaye at Radio Scotland, even people who used to work with her over the last fifteen years! Fifteen years she’s given to that station, and now this… It’s just awful. They’re digging into everything, talking to all her colleagues. I just want them to leave her alone; she’s a national treasure!

The Mail on Sunday reported that the BBC started an investigation into bullying after concerns were raised about a reported shouting match during a meeting. The meeting included Kaye Adams, the BBC’s new Head of Radio, Victoria Easton Riley, and other staff members.

Kaye stated that no incident occurred, but recalled seeing Ms. Easton Riley at the back of a meeting in their open-plan office once. She emphasized that she never raised her voice, saying it’s simply not how she behaves.

According to The Mail on Sunday, investigators are still collecting details about the accusations against the star from her time at the broadcaster. These details will be shared with her before they are made public.

A BBC Scotland leader confirmed they are interviewing current and former colleagues of the individual in question.

This isn’t a reaction to a single event; investigators are reviewing a history of behavior. Several individuals have shared their experiences with Kaye, but the investigation is still in progress.

Another source at BBC Scotland said there’s a tense atmosphere at their headquarters, Pacific Quay.

The team producing the morning show is being very secretive, focusing solely on their work and avoiding any discussion about it.

Many people are unclear about the BBC’s actions and why Kaye hasn’t been informed about the investigation.

A BBC Scotland representative stated they don’t discuss specific cases. They added that they have established procedures for handling any complaints or concerns that may arise.
