Elton John’s Shocking Admission About His Music Future

According to reports, it appears that Sir Elton John has boldly confessed that he might create another solo album, with him stating that he feels he needs Brandi Carlile to continue his work.

78-year-old music legend is all set to unveil a joint album titled “Who Believes in Angels” with American country artist, aged 43, named Brandi, this coming Friday.

As reported by The Sun, Elton John himself expressed: “I was determined not to create the same album twice over. Instead, I aimed for progress, as I am constantly looking towards the future.

‘If I had just made another Elton John record, I would’ve killed myself.

I was deeply reliant on her – for her unique talents, her vibrant spirit, her wit, and her exceptional songwriting abilities. Among the top-tier lyricists globally, I’m fortunate to have not just one, but two: Bernie Taupin and Brandi Carlile.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he expressed his delight in the process and mentioned that he’d consider it a great honor to collaborate on another album together.

To fans delight, he also teased that his voice on the upcoming album is ‘the best it’s ever been’.

TopMob has contacted a representative for Elton for comment.

A week ago, Elton demonstrated his enduring talent by taking center stage for the first time as a headliner at the London Palladium.

2023 marked my retirement from a fifty-year long career, but the allure of performing at the legendary 2300-seater stage was irresistible, drawing me back to the spotlight once more.

The musician performed at the Palladium to display his upcoming album, “Who Believes in Angels,” alongside American vocalist Brandi.

Before the live performance set to air on ITV in the UK and CBS in the U.S., Sir Elton John unexpectedly revealed a personal fact to Dan Levy, the star of Schitt’s Creek, during their on-stage chat.

‘It would be stupid of me not to play tonight,’ Sir Elton said.

As a young lad, I regularly tuned in to Sunday Night Live at the Palladium each week. This show was nothing short of electrifying, an event you simply couldn’t miss. The reason? It featured major American stars, even had the Beatles performing! It was truly remarkable. The legendary Bruce Forsyth was the host. This program was nothing short of legendary.

Caught up in the electrifying atmosphere, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “In all honesty, I must confess that this is my first time performing at the legendary Palladium!

Later on, the performer known as Rocketman shared an interesting fact: although he’s graced numerous renowned stages worldwide, his performance on the Palladium stage was a unique exception. This special moment took place in 1972 when he appeared alongside Liberace during the Royal Variety Show.

For the vibrant celebrity, it turned out to be quite amusing – it was one of the rare instances where he found himself overshadowed by another in the wardrobe section.

Sir Elton said: ‘I did a Royal Variety Performance here with Liberace. He was fabulous.

Alright, I decided, just like Liberace, I’m going to have two stunning outfits tailored. I had some vibrant, well-fitted suits already hanging in my dressing room.

In that very space, we found ourselves occupying a communal changing area. Stacked high, one upon another, were numerous trunks. It was on this particular evening when he donned an outfit resembling an illuminated lightbulb.

Or more casually:

We huddled together in a small room backstage. Piled up everywhere were crates and crates of storage trunks. That night, he decided to wear a suit that lit up like a bulb.

‘I thought f***ing hell. You’ve won: game set and match.’

Elton shared, “This is my first time playing here by myself!” The crowd erupted with excitement.

Last month, the artist confidently announced that the upcoming studio album, his first since 2021, marks a new beginning for him, effectively signaling the commencement of his second phase in the music industry.

The upcoming studio album titled “Who Believes In Angels?” is a joint project featuring American folk singer Brandi, along with Sir Elton’s long-term collaborator Bernie Taupin. It’s scheduled to drop on April 4th.

He also unveiled a new single from the album, the eponymous song ‘Who Believes In Angels?’

Sir Elton expressed that this particular record was among the most challenging he’s ever produced, yet it was also one of the most rewarding and exceptional musical journeys he’s encountered in his life.

Looking back, all that I’ve accomplished so far has been fantastic, truly remarkable. However, what lies ahead marks a fresh beginning for me – essentially, the dawning of my second act or career 2.0.

This place has provided me with a sense of security for my progress. ‘Who Believes In Angels?’ feels like stepping into another time period, and I am eagerly opening the door to embrace what lies ahead in the future.

The songwriter, who’s been battling poor health following the loss of most of his sight, shared that a newly penned tune on mortality brought tears to his eyes and made him contemplate the remaining time in his life.

In a recent installment of the Smartless podcast, he disclosed that the track in discussion will be featured as the closing number on their upcoming album with Carlile.

As you approach my age, which is close to 100, questions about remaining lifespan naturally arise. With children and a loving spouse, one can’t help but ponder mortality. When I reached the chorus, I was overcome with emotion for nearly 45 minutes, and it was all captured on film.

On Saturday, 19th April, you’ll be able to watch “An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile” on both ITV1 and ITVX in the UK. For those in the United States, it will air on the CBS network on April 6th.
