Elton John scares fans as he posts bedridden hospital pictures – but all is not what it seems

Elton John alarmed his followers by sharing photographs of him lying in a hospital bed and adorned with bedazzled body casts on his Instagram account last Friday.

However, things were not exactly as they appeared, since the 78-year-old singer revealed that the whole arrangement was actually aimed at announcing the upcoming release of a Spinal Tap sequel.

In simpler terms, the image caused confusion among fans when he humorously stated, “I rocked too hard… landed myself in a cast!” followed by concerning images showing him lying in a hospital bed.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but share my thrilling behind-the-scenes moment with Spinal Tap! In his own words, Elton was simply promoting his cameo in their forthcoming movie.

The upcoming movie has once more been brought to you by Bleecker Street, the production house famous for creating “This Is Spinal Tap.” Notable musicians like Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood are expected to make special appearances in this film.

2002 saw this film being selected for preservation by the National Film Registry. The Library of Congress stated that it held cultural, historical, and aesthetic significance.

Back in 2022, Reiner first brought up the idea of a sequel, mentioning to Deadline that he hadn’t yet made a firm decision about proceeding with it until they came up with a robust and compelling concept.

He mentioned that they are considering a follow-up movie to release on the 40th anniversary of the initial film, and it seems like everyone is asking for more as he shared, ‘We’ve had countless conversations saying, “Maybe we should do another one.”‘
