Elton John Ditches His Own Oscar Party to Rub Elbows with Hollywood Elite at the 2025 Ceremony
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I couldn’t resist the allure of being right in the thick of things at this year’s Oscars, which is why I decided to relinquish my hosting responsibilities and immerse myself directly into the 2025 ceremony instead.
This way, it sounds more personal and engaging from the first-person perspective of a lifestyle expert.
On Sunday evening, the renowned musician and composer, aged 77, was seen socializing with high-profile figures from the movie industry at the Dolby Theatre – simultaneously, guests were making their way to Elton John‘s AIDS Foundation’s 33rd Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party held in West Hollywood.
While Elton and his spouse, David Furnish, donned their formal best, admiring Anora and Dune: Part Two’s triumph at the event, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jean Smart, Neil Patrick Harris, and David Burtka were preparing to jointly host an extravagant gala.
Regarding the music legend, although he missed attending his own party (for the moment), it seemed as though he was thoroughly enjoying himself, deeply engrossed in the enchantment of the Oscars.
Even though it’s early in the evening, there’s still a possibility that he might show up dramatically at his own event, considering Chappell Roan is scheduled to perform later on.
During that time, Elton found satisfaction from live music at the event, appreciating the shows put on by Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and RAYE.

Because if anyone can make the most of Oscars night, it’s Sir Elton.
Every year since 1993, Elton’s Oscars gathering has been a longstanding custom, serving as the kickoff for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. This is when he began hosting this charitable event.
Over time, this gala has grown into one of the most prestigious events associated with the Academy Awards, consistently drawing top-tier celebrities and generating substantial funds for HIV/AIDS research and assistance.
Generally located in West Hollywood, this event is known for its extravagant dining options, lively performances, and a large TV screen to enjoy the live broadcast of the Oscars ceremony.
Back in 2020, our celebration for the 28th year marked as a party happened online instead of in-person, because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
By 2023, the fundraising event had gathered more than $100 million in charitable contributions, cementing its status as an extravagant social gathering and a significant force in philanthropy.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming an eclectic array of personalities, ranging from the enigmatic Lady Gaga and the vibrant Miley Cyrus to the charismatic Beckhams and the captivating Kardashians. On numerous occasions, I’ve shared the stage with Elton, often accompanied by unexpected musical guests, adding an extra dash of magic to each performance.
As a lifestyle connoisseur reflecting on 2025, I’m thrilled to note that the glamorous charity event, now in its 33rd year, continues to shine brightly as a highlight of the Oscars night. It’s more than just an elite Hollywood party; it’s a testament to their commitment to giving back and celebrating with purpose.

Currently, Conan O’Brien, who is 61 years old, is stepping into the role of Oscar host for the first time. He joked about accepting the position just to receive an invitation.
2021’s award show presents a particularly unpredictable landscape in numerous prominent categories such as Best Picture and the majority of acting awards.
This year, Emilia Pérez is topping the nominations list with a total of 13, including nods for Best Picture, Actress (Karla Sofía Gascón), Supporting Actress (Zoe Saldaña), Director (Jacques Audiard), Adapted Screenplay, and Original Song. In simpler terms, Emilia Pérez is receiving the most nominations this year across various categories such as Best Picture, acting, directing, screenwriting, and original music composition.
As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that “The Brutalist” earned the runner-up spot with an impressive ten nominations! These nods encompass a diverse range of categories: best picture, direction (recognizing Brady Corbet), acting brilliance for Adrien Brody, supporting actor kudos for Guy Pearce, and original screenplay recognition for Felicity Jones.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that the intriguing film “Wicked” has secured a prestigious ten nominations. Among these, it stands as a contender for Best Picture, with Cynthia Erivo vying for the title of Best Actress, and Ariana Grande being recognized in the category of Best Supporting Actress.
Among the other contenders for the top photo awards are Anora, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two (Sequel to Dune), I’m Still Here, The Nickel Boys, and The Substance.
