Elton John Cries During New Album Recording

Notable figures like Lily James and Ronnie Wood graced the event during Elton John‘s spectacular performance at the London Palladium on a Wednesday evening.

78-year-old Elton John recently performed a unique concert alongside his lifelong companion, Brandi Carlile. This performance was captured for a future ITV broadcast, set to air in the coming month.

Displaying an elegant flair for fashion, Lily donned a warm, brown faux fur coat before leaving the fashion show.

35-year-old actress from Mamma Mia was spotted exiting the theater in stylish leather pants, accompanied by a friend.

77-year-old Ronnie was accompanied by his wife Sally, showcasing his well-known flair for fashion in a smart, blue printed shirt.

In the year 2012, Sally chose a minidress inspired by the ’60s, featuring a striking black-and-white print and coordinating ankle boots, for her wedding to Ronnie.

After his performance, Elton – celebrating his 78th birthday just the day prior – could also be spotted leaving the event, flaunting his distinctive style in a stylish pink ensemble.

It was revealed on Wednesday that Elton John will appear in a glittering “An Evening With” event alongside Brandi, which is set to air on ITV on the 19th of April.

Elton and Brandi are going to sing tracks from their freshly-minted album titled ‘Who Believes in Angels?’ along with popular favorites of theirs individually, and also perform duets on classic tunes. This unique event promises the audience a fresh take on their cherished songs.

During the electrifying solo and duet performances of Elton and Brandi, they will also engage the audience in a candid, on-stage chat hosted by their friend Dan Levy. This conversation promises to offer an intimate glimpse into their 20-year friendship, sharing insights into their extraordinary lives and personal journeys.

Additionally, they’ll have an exclusive peek at never-before-seen, backstage footage detailing the process of creating the album.

Moreover, during the night, individuals who are particularly close to Elton and Brandi will offer heartfelt homages to honor their remarkable careers.

The joint album titled “Who Believes in Angels?” by Elton John and Brandi Carlile is set for release on the 4th of April.

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning Director, expressed her enthusiasm: “We can’t wait to share this extraordinary event featuring legendary Elton John and talented Brandi Carlile with our viewers on ITV1 and ITVX.

After the success of our latest music events, ‘An Evening with Dua Lipa’ and ‘Katy Perry: Night of a Lifetime’, this upcoming show is set to be extraordinary. It will feature amazing music, touching moments, and stories from their unforgettable careers at one of London’s most renowned landmarks.

Gabe Turner, a partner at Fulwell Entertainment, expressed excitement about collaborating with Elton John once more for this unique event, along with the talented Brandi Carlile.

As a devoted follower, I can confidently say that I’ve been thrilled to be part of the team at Fulwell Entertainment, and I’m excited to share that we believe viewers are in store for an exceptional experience with this project we’ve been working on.

Before his upcoming birthday, Elton shared that he pondered upon the concept of his own mortality as he worked on his latest album titled “Who Believes In Angels?” which is scheduled to be released on April 4th.

The musical icon confided that he wept for approximately 45 minutes during the creation of one of his latest compositions, and found himself growing anxious about running out of time.

In the past, Elton had disclosed that he experienced vision loss following an infection which left him completely blind in one eye and with reduced vision in the other, before embarking on his farewell tour in 2023.

On the Smartless podcast, Elton shared that a deeply emotional response surfaced while he was singing his latest song “When This Old World Has Had Its Fill of Me.

He mentioned: ‘At the closing of the album, I penned a song titled when “This World Has Had Its Fill of Me,” a lyric by Bernie Taupin. As I crafted the verses, I found myself remarking, “Wow, this is truly beautiful.

Then comes the chorus, naturally focusing on my impending demise. As one approaches a century in age, one often ponders, “How many days remain for me?

Elton openly confessed that thoughts about his husband, David Furnish, and their sons, Zachary and Elijah, often stirred deep feelings within him.

He continued, expressing: “With kids and a loving spouse, thoughts of mortality naturally arise. As I reached the chorus, I was overcome with emotion for about 45 minutes, and this moment is captured on camera.

Elton John shared that he shed a lot of tears during the creation of the album alongside artist Brandi, and this emotional moment was captured in his documentary titled “Elton John: Never Too Late,” which premiered in October.

Brandi went on to say: “I think everyone should view it as it’s incredibly authentic, showing our imperfections and moments of embarrassment.

What’s truly fascinating is observing behaviors when people overlook the presence of a camera.

As he reached the end of the chorus, his voice trembled slightly, making me think, ‘It seems he’s about to give it his all, truly give it his all.’ And indeed, he entered an intense, powerful moment.
