As a long-time fan of both legal dramas and space exploration, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the crossover event between The Good Wife’s Elsbeth and her new series, Elsbeth! Having followed Christian Borle’s character Carter Schmidt in both shows, I can’t wait to see how his history with Elsbeth unfolds. And let’s not forget that a billionaire’s death during a space training simulation? Now that sounds like the perfect recipe for a gripping murder mystery!
In the second episode of Elsbeth’s second season, you’ll recognize a familiar character – it’s a former cast member from The Good Wife making an appearance.
It was clear to us that the second season would feature the first actual crossover event between “The Good Wife” and “Elsbeth.” Previously, some recurring characters have graced our screens, but they’ve played new roles distinct from their initial appearances. While this series has been self-reliant, we can’t deny our fondness for seeing a familiar character pop up occasionally.
In the upcoming second episode, it’s been confirmed that Christian Borle will make his appearance in the series. Previously, we speculated about his involvement, but now we have a specific episode where he’ll be seen. Borle portrayed Carter Schmidt on both ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘The Good Fight,’ and his character has a past with our main protagonist. It seems that this past connection is set to unfold in the storyline.
Elsbeth figures out a murder out of this world in Elsbeth season 2, episode 2
Absolutely, there’s a mystery to unravel, and I find myself right in the thick of it! A billionaire met an untimely end during a seemingly routine training exercise at a private space center. But what if this wasn’t just an unfortunate accident? My gut feeling tells me otherwise, and I’m convinced that a jealous wannabe astronaut could be the culprit behind this suspicious demise.
In the upcoming episode, Robert Riggle appears as Elsbeth’s intended victim, portraying Neal who might have harbored a desire for the billionaire’s demise in order to pursue his own space mission. However, such actions could be detrimental to the billionaire’s program. If the billionaire passes away, it’s uncertain whether the program will persist based on his will.

When a billionaire dies in a freak accident during a space training simulation, Elsbeth suspects a fellow magnate and wannabe astronaut with a grudge named Neal (Robert Riggle) is responsible. Also, Elsbeth’s day is turned upside down when she is reunited with a former colleague from Chicago.
