Elsa Pakaty reveals the one condition she gave Chris Hemsworth to move to Australia and the secret to her happy marriage with her ‘partner for life’
Elsa Pakaty has revealed how her husband Chris Hemsworth persuaded her to move to Australia.
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say Elsa Pakaty and Chris Hemsworth’s love story is nothing short of inspiring. Their journey from meeting to building a beautiful family and creating a dream life together is truly heartwarming.
In a simplified manner, the Spanish actress, aged 48, resides in Byron Bay together with her spouse Chris, who is 41 years old, along with their three children: 12-year-old daughter India, and 10-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.
As someone hailing from the vibrant city of Madrid, I, too, harbored a unique requirement before I made the significant decision to relocate to Australia nearly a decade past.
In conversation with The Courier Mail, Elsa disclosed that she expressed her conditions for relocating to Australia to Chris: they must reside on a vast rural property, providing ample space for her to keep and ride horses.
She disclosed, “That arrangement was with Chris. I mentioned that if the opportunity presented itself, I’d relocate to Australia. However, I made it clear that my dream was to live on a rural property, perhaps a farm, with horses – something he was aware of.
Fortunately for Elsa, her cherished aspiration has been realized, as they now reside in an expansive $30 million, eight-bedroom estate located on a vast 4.2 hectare property in Broken Head.
Apart from that, Elsa offered an open, heartfelt perspective on her connection with the legendary figure Chris, revealing some of the strategies they employ to maintain a harmonious union amidst numerous obstacles they’ve encountered together.
She expressed that while we all share the idealistic vision of a blissful, romantic marriage, what often goes unnoticed is the amount of effort it truly requires.
Experiencing numerous obstacles, yet there’s an enchanting aspect to overcoming them together, discovering more about ourselves and our evolution, as well as learning to adjust to one another through the passing of time.
It might seem flawless on the surface, but every marriage has its challenges, and they require effort to maintain.
Elsa and Chris got married only ten months following their initial meeting, and they’ll be celebrating 14 years of wedded bliss on December 22nd. However, she admitted that they often forget their wedding anniversary.
Despite appearing as a relationship mishap, Elsa dismissed the date as quickly forgettable due to its proximity to Christmas, jokingly brushing it off with laughter each year.
Enthusiastically praising her spouse, Elsa additionally confessed her lifelong desire for a soulmate when she shared her aspirations of growing elderly alongside the actor portraying Thor, Chris.
Elsa and Chris unexpectedly tied the knot during a vacation in Australia in December 2010, only three months after announcing their relationship publicly.
Five years down the line, they relocated to Byron Bay following their purchase of a lifetime property in this coastal haven for approximately $7.6 million.
Currently, they’ve been offered an exclusive chance to enlarge their vast property holdings within the famed ‘Golden Grid’ area of Byron Bay.
Come October, I’ve been keeping a secret eye on that nine-hectare piece of land right next to my lavish Balinese abode. Guess what? It’s up for sale, and my heart skips a beat just thinking about it! But alas, the price remains undisclosed – for now.
Real estate insiders have estimated the luxury retreat could fetch as much as $34million.
Despite being potentially profitable, the Daily Telegraph reported that the Hemsworths have shown no willingness to disclose their interests regarding the grand estate.
In 2011, the property was sold at auction for approximately $6.3 million, and it’s now in the possession of oil and gas tycoon Russell Staley and his spouse, Jennifer.
The property named Ohana is nestled in the Broken Head region of the Byron Bay countryside, positioned midway between the Hemsworth residence and Seven Mile Beach.
Nestled amidst lush greenery, this architectural masterpiece offers a breathtaking 450-meter stretch of coastline and is equipped with several pavilions capable of accommodating up to 28 guests.
