At the festival, those responsible for greetings must ensure that only individuals adhering to these guidelines are permitted on the red carpet.

The recently published festival attendee guide includes unexpected additions to the policy – these are accompanied by guidelines about appropriate conduct in public areas.

Visitors should gather at the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière during the next fortnight, where they can witness some of the most prestigious film showcases taking place.

It’s clear that the well-known establishment has shifted towards a stricter dress code, preferring formal attire such as suits, tuxedos, and long evening gowns over attention-grabbing outfits.

In addition to simple black dresses, formal cocktail attire, business suits, fancy blouses, and stylish flats or heels, these options are all acceptable as well.

It’s uncertain whether French TV broadcasters, concerned about showing nudity, may have influenced the initial application of the stricter policy.

Significant high-profile gatherings such as the Cannes Film Festival, along with other prominent events on the red carpet, are broadcast in France through France Télévisions.

Lately, the annual event has been drawing in more models and social media personalities than actors and movie creators. This shift has led to a rise in bold and daring fashion choices on the red carpet.

In the year 2021, renowned American model Bella Hadid showcased her decolletage in a deep-necklined black dress at a showing of the film “Tre Piani” (Three Floors).
