Ellie Goulding shares cryptic post on Instagram about 'restricting people who dim your light' after splitting with estranged husband Caspar Jopling

As a dedicated follower of Ellie Goulding’s journey, I have witnessed her transformative experiences both personally and professionally over the years. Her recent Instagram post about “restricting people who dim your light” resonates deeply with me as someone who has also had to navigate through relationships that did not serve my best interests.

On Instagram on Wednesday, Ellie Goulding shared a mysterious post encouraging people to limit the influence of those who dull your shine.

I’ve seen many celebrities go through public splits and divorces, but there’s something particularly poignant about a singer, especially one who has been married for four years, making such an announcement. At 37, she may feel like her life is at a crossroads, and the end of her marriage to Caspar Jopling, whom she had been estranged from for some time prior, must be a painful and difficult decision. The singer’s personal life experiences add depth and complexity to her art, and I can only imagine the emotions she must be feeling as she navigates this new chapter in her life.

In the past few months, Ellie has been living in Costa Rica, where her latest beau, Armando Perez, who is a surfer, dwells.

Currently, it appears that Ellie is making an effort to eliminate people from her life who leave her feeling uninspired, and instead, she’s cultivating connections that bring her joy and vitality.

It might be beneficial to limit your interaction with people who seem to dampen your spirit and instead invest more time in those who bring joy, optimism, and intrigue into your life.

After news broke that Ellie had started a new relationship with attractive surf instructor Armando in Costa Rica, Ellie and Caspar released a unified statement on Instagram.

For at least six months, reports say that she and her partner Caspar lived apart from each other, although they made efforts to reconcile for the benefit of their child.

In December, during a girls’ trip to the Central American nation situated between Nicaragua and Panama, she encountered the handsome man named Armando.

In February, there were rumors that singer Adele and Caspar had been living separately for six months. These rumors gained more attention when pictures surfaced of them affectionately kissing and embracing each other at the beach, without Adele wearing her wedding ring. This fueled further conjecture about their relationship status.

The stories circulating recently forced Ellie and Caspar to make an announcement publicly, with Ellie sharing on Instagram: “Due to recent rumors, I feel compelled to inform you all that Caspar and I have already gone our separate ways in private.”

Our friendship remains strong and unwavering, and we’ve worked closely together to prioritize our sons’ well-being in all aspects of their upbringing.

Based on my own experiences and values, I firmly believe in safeguarding the privacy of my family. It’s a fundamental right that we cherish deeply, and something we take seriously. So, I want to kindly ask for your understanding and respect as we choose not to comment any further on certain matters concerning our personal lives. Thank you for considering our wishes.

According to sources close to the couple, it was widely believed that a divorce was imminent after they had worked unsuccessfully for two years to mend their troubled union.

In April it was revealed Ellie has poured her heartbreak over the split from into her new music.

During a solo appearance at the Royal Albert Hall, she introduced one of her heartfelt compositions, titled “Easy To Love Me,” where she shares her feelings about the separation.

Watching from the audience in London, Caspar witnessed Ellie’s devastating act with even greater impact.

In the song, she sings: ‘Every mistake I made was the last one, yet you still fight for us.

“I understand that loving me isn’t simple, but I am yours if you choose to have me.”

In the latter part of the song, she adds: “Perhaps I’m too much for you. The inquiries are causing me pain. I’ve discovered something genuine that could slip away, yet rest assured, I won’t abandon you.”

As an obsessed fan, I can tell you from my perspective, when collaborating with the brilliant Canadian producer and songwriter Jack Rochon, Ellie shared that: “We brought this melody to life together, but for me, it’s second nature. I pour my heart out in every lyric, expressing feelings in the moment, and pondering over the repercussions later.”

I’m currently producing a new album, and I’m optimistic that it will be released this year. I’ve put in a significant amount of effort into it, and the results are promising so far.
