Ellen Degeneres Savagely Roasted by Seth MacFarlane Amid ‘Mean’ Scandal

At the Robin Hood’s annual charity event held at the Javits Center on Monday, Seth MacFarlane took aim at Ellen DeGeneres‘ perceived ‘unfriendly’ image.

At the gathering, the creator of Family Guy, aged 51, playfully criticized several celebrities, among them Ellen DeGeneres, who turned 67. Notably, Ellen’s talk show was terminated in 2022 after allegations of a toxic work environment surfaced, damaging her once-favored image as television’s beloved host.

In response to DeGeneres, MacFarlane playfully quipped that she was moving to Europe following Donald Trump’s victory as U.S. President, as reported by Page Six.

He joked by saying that DeGeneres departed immediately following the election, and now she’s regarded as the kindest individual in France.

Following the election last year, DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, 52, relocated to the UK.

Last year, during a comedy performance, DeGeneres tackled accusations about her supposed harshness by saying, “I can be assertive, pushy, and stern. I am a powerful woman. I embody various traits, but I am not unkind.

Ellen DeGeneres’ controversy started from a tweet written by comedian Kevin T. Porter in March 2020, inviting people to share their ‘craziest experiences of Ellen behaving unkindly.’ This tweet garnered approximately 2,600 responses.

Four months down the line, BuzzFeed News released an investigative report that included testimonies from a present employee and 10 ex-employees of the Louisiana-born comedian’s former daytime talk show, claiming incidents of racism, abusive behavior, and sexual misconduct.

By August 2020, WarnerMedia conducted an internal probe, Ellen DeGeneres publicly apologized to her 255 staff members, and executives Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman were terminated from the program.

Ellen DeGeneres aired her last episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 26, 2022, marking the end of an impressive 19-season run, during which she previously expressed apologies to her audience on air.

She later branded it a ‘coordinated misogynistic’ attack on her.
