Ellen DeGeneres Embraces Farm Life in English Countryside, Debuts New Look

On Wednesday, Ellen DeGeneres provided a peek at country living by working in her garden and feeding her chickens after relocating to the English countryside.

In the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory late last November, my partner Portia de Rossi and I decided to relocate from the United States to the UK. Previously, I had been a popular talk show host.

Ellen and Portia have recently moved to a new location close to Oxfordshire due to the fact that their home in the Cotswolds was badly damaged by flooding soon after they had settled there.

Indeed, they appear to be acclimating quite nicely to their new abode, evidenced by the glimpses they’ve given us into their daily routines on the farm.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but gush about the sight of Ellen, effortlessly stylish even in her casual attire. She was clad in brown trousers and a cozy blue hoodie, preparing to tackle her day with a grass trimmer. To ensure safety, she adorned herself with a protective mask.

Portia was captured on camera while she cheerfully commented, ‘Well done, dear’, as Ellen began working on the gardening project.

Additionally, she delved into pruning the flowering shrubs in their field, prior to the pair attending to their chicken-feeding duties.

‘Come on chickens,’ she shouted as she threw food at the animals who ran over to be fed. 

As I step into the spotlight, I’ve decided to switch things up a bit by embracing my natural brunette roots instead of my regular bleached blonde do. Ellen, in this video, follows suit, sporting a fresh new hairstyle that highlights her beautiful natural brown locks.

In the caption, she playfully commented: ‘While some aspire to be farmers, it’s evident that our ambition leaned towards being a landscape maintenance team, with a touch of farming thrown in for good measure.’

After Ellen posted another peek into her daily English routine, which included cutting the grass.

On the yellow lawnmower, she perched up high, unveiling her new brunette hair color, a departure from her trademark blondes.

The star guided the mower across a vast expanse of grass, with a blanket of gray clouds covering the sky overhead.

At the base of the video, text appeared saying, ‘Here’s where it all began.’ Then, the video switched to show Ellen receiving help from someone as a machine they were using seemed to malfunction on a steep incline.

The clip concluded as more text popped up onto the screen which said, ‘How it ended.’ 

The comedian added in his caption, ‘Portia believed it’d be amusing to capture my initial lawn-mowing experience. And she was correct.’

Before opting for darker locks, Ellen had sported the blonde shade for years throughout her career.

Ellen has previously given a rare look at her new life in England to her 136 million followers. 

Recently, during the month of April, she took a picture from behind Portia, both gazing at the picturesque landscape that included rolling hills and a vibrant double rainbow appearing after a shower.

She shared three sources of joy: My spouse, the sight of a rainbow, and capturing a rainbow photo taken by my wife.

In the year 2020, Ellen found herself amidst controversy as she was accused of fostering a harmful work environment. Subsequently, she extended an apology for any distress caused.

For close to twenty years, The Ellen DeGeneres Show remained a staple on television. However, it was announced that the show would conclude in 2022, bringing its run to a close after only two more years.

However, following the relocation, their six-bedroom home in the Cotswolds encountered heavy flooding as a result of Storm Bert.

Initially, a flood occurred. Later on, there were concerns raised by certain residents regarding construction activities at the site.

Since then, I’ve been privileged to call a new abode mine, situated just a half-hour journey from the initial residence that my beloved partners, DeGeneres and Portia, had acquired.

As a devoted admirer, I can confidently say that a recent confidante shared with me their insights about Ellen and Portia’s new home. This residence, they mentioned, embodies the essence of Grand Designs, and it is evident that they are truly enjoying it.

They mentioned that everything was carried out covertly, making it unclear about the specifics of the agreement. However, it appears that the property has been transferred to new owners, and it didn’t cost them significantly less than what they had previously paid for their former residence.

It’s quite extraordinary, considering the number of wealthy individuals around here, to purchase two high-valued properties for amounts totaling in the millions within just a couple of months.

The source went on, stating, ‘Even with a moderate calculation, it’s likely that Ellen spent hundreds of thousands, if not millions, in expenses and charges to make such a significant change of heart.’
