Ellen Barkin Spotted Sorrowful in NYC Days After Val Kilmer’s Shocking Death

On a somber note, actress Ellen Barkin was seen walking her tiny dog in its raincoat in her hometown, New York City, just two days following the unexpected passing of her past romantic partner, Val Kilmer.

71-year-old Emmy award recipient was seen wrapped in a black padded coat over a coordinating cardigan, a simple crew-neck sweater, loose trousers, and white trainers.

Ellen, out for a spring walk without makeup, sported a half of a best friend’s locket and a pendant featuring a Star of David.

Barkin is particularly recognized for her appearances in films such as Diner (1982), The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984), The Big Easy (1986), Down by Law (1986), Sea of Love (1989), Switch (1991), The Fan (1996), Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007).

1984 saw a passionate romance blossom between this Bronx native and the iconic eighties crush. They spent their days browsing luxury stores on Rodeo Drive and evenings grilling together.

Or, in a more casual tone:
In 1984, this beauty from the Bronx had a steamy fling with the heartthrob of the 80s. By day they’d window-shop on Rodeo Drive, and by night they’d barbecue together.

In his 2020 memoir, ‘I’m Your Huckleberry’, Val stated that Ellen had the most radiant smile among all the boroughs.

‘I recall her quick wit, her captivating eyes, and especially her laughter. Oh, and her hair – who could forget the silken texture of a woman’s hair? If you ever get the opportunity to lightly brush Ellen’s hair in a consensual manner, it will be more than worth the look she’ll give you.’

Kilmer referred to Barkin as ‘one of the bewitching women who escaped, likely because of my overwhelming distractions and oversights.’

It appears that the relationship between the Tony Award recipient and the Grammy nominee did not conclude in a friendly manner. In an interview with ELLE in 2006, she expressed that he would be the ex-partner she would fear most as a witness for the prosecution, stating emphatically: “Even the gates of hell cannot contain fury like mine.

Although he has romantically involved with and departed from some of the world’s most stunning women, Val admitted in his 2020 revelation: ‘For the past two decades, I haven’t had a girlfriend. In essence, loneliness is a constant part of my daily life.’

Kilmer died on Tuesday at the age of 65 due to pneumonia, in his hometown Los Angeles, after a long fight against throat cancer which required a tracheotomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments.

Actor Tom Cruise from Top Gun: Maverick is survived by his two acting offspring, Jack (age 29) and Mercedes (age 33), as well as his ex-wife Joanne Whalley, who he was married to for eight years until their divorce in 1996 when she played Willow.

Meanwhile, Ellen has a pair of children: Jack, aged 35, and Romy, who is 32. These two were born during her five-year long marriage with Gabriel Byrne, her co-star from Siesta. The marriage ended harmoniously in 1993 (the divorce was finalized in 1999).

As a dedicated follower of mine, I can share that back in 2006, I ended my five-year marital journey with the esteemed billionaire, Ronald Perelman. Additionally, rumors have circulated about me being romantically linked to some notable figures such as Matt Dillon, Robert Duvall, Johnny Depp, David Arquette, Ralph Fiennes, and Sam Levinson, although I haven’t publicly confirmed these relationships myself.

Since her role as Lilly McDermott in the poorly received 2023 Netflix mob comedy “The Out-Laws” starring Adam DeVine, Nina Dobrev, and Pierce Brosnan, The Poker Face guest star has not landed any acting jobs.
