As someone who has had a complicated relationship with my own father, I can empathize deeply with Elle King’s struggles. Her experiences resonate with me because I too have felt overlooked and misunderstood by my dad at times. It’s heartbreaking to see a child yearn for love and acceptance from their parent, only to be met with indifference or harsh words.

Elle King got candid about her complicated relationship with her father Rob Schneider.

As a devoted fan, I’m sharing this: A 35-year-old artist, renowned for her hits like “Ex’s & Oh’s,” recently criticized a 60-year-old former Saturday Night Live cast member for his questionable comments regarding the LGBTQ+ community. During an interview on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, she labeled him as ‘not nice.’

The singer expressed disagreement with many of Schneider’s statements during an interview segment. He criticized him for spreading misinformation about drag culture and opposing gay rights, stating that he should educate himself on these topics instead. The singer used strong language to convey his frustration.

The monarch mentioned that it has been approximately four to five years since she last spoke to the comic, and she made clear that she prefers not to have any connection with him whatsoever.

She remarked, “He’s simply not kind-hearted.” She continued, “It’s natural to desire someone to alter so profoundly. However, remember that you cannot dictate another person’s actions or feelings. The only things you can manage are your reactions and the way you handle your emotions.”

DailyMail.com has reached out to Schneider for comment.

Grew up in Ohio under the care of her mother London King and stepfather Justin Tesa, Elle later recounted that she restored her bond with Rob in adulthood following a complicated adolescent connection.

In her youth, Elle’s occasional encounters with Rob typically took place on film sets, which left her feeling overshadowed amidst the frequent commotion.

“She said she’d easily blend with the crowd if not careful, as any mistake or chatter could lead to stern reprimands.”

Later on, he reminisced, ‘Every year, my father would forget my birthday. On my 18th birthday, I was in summer school. They gave me cupcakes there, and when I returned home, my father had overlooked my special day.’

The main issue that arose between King and Schneider primarily revolved around her physical attributes, specifically her body weight and tattoos.

She shared that as a child, she was significantly overweight. Her father enrolled her in a weight loss camp. However, during one particular year, she injured her ankle and didn’t manage to shed any pounds, as she detailed.

‘Very toxic and very silly,’ she added.

In the midst of receiving a tattoo, the temperature soared up to a sweltering 108 degrees. Given that my father strongly disapproved of tattoos and any kind of self-expression, I found myself donning sweaters to cover up my work in progress.

In the revised video segment, King openly shared about extensively attempting different methods to mend her father-daughter bond.

As a seasoned communicator with years of experience under my belt, I have learned that the key to effective communication lies not only in the words we choose but also in how we deliver them. In my life, I have tried various approaches to get my point across – from writing lengthy letters to employing soft tones, and even raising my voice at times when necessary. However, I’ve discovered that each method has its own merits and limitations.

In 2018, King opened up to People about strengthening her relationship with Schneider after her difficult divorce and challenges with drug problems and mental health issues.

Despite the vague state of their connection, it’s unclear how things stand between King and her father. However, their most recent public display of unity was during her New Year’s Eve concert in Nashville, where they both appeared together on stage.
