Elizabeth Olsen Shocks Fans with Bold Move Away from Marvel’s Scarlet Witch Role!
Fans of Marvel are heartbroken as Elizabeth Olsen announced that she will not play the Scarlet Witch in the upcoming two Avengers movies.
In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress, who is 36 years old, made it clear that she will not appear in either the upcoming films titled Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.
When asked if she was working on one of the London-based films, the actress clarified that she had returned to the United States following the completion of a movie they shot there recently.
She mentioned that she recently completed “Panic Carefully”. Now, she’s transitioning to shooting a pilot titled “Seven Sisters” for FX.
Her assertion ignited outrage on social platforms, with some users voicing sorrow at the prospect of her departure, and others suggesting she might be concealing information to avoid revealing spoilers.
One supporter playfully threatened to attach themselves to the main entrance of Marvel headquarters as a form of demonstration, vowing to stay put until a sincere apology is offered for their questionable choices.
Another predicted the movies without her would ‘tank.’
A third, however, tweeted: ”People…she died in the last movie. This isn’t a shock.’
In September, the actress who played WandaVision expressed that it would be wonderful if Marvel Studios could consider the possibility of bringing back her character, who appeared to have died.
During her guesting on Jimmy Kimmel Live in September, the actress who plays in Love & Death admitted something.
Jimmy, aged 56, inquired about the current standing of Wanda’s character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe by asking: “Is it true that Wanda died in the last Doctor Strange film, isn’t she?
‘I assume as much,’ Elizabeth admitted.
Jimmy recollected for Elizabeth that, towards the conclusion of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda was tragically pinned under a pile of stones.
‘Yeah. And there was a red light,’ Elizabeth said. ‘Of explosive energy.’

Jimmy responded: “However, no one has told you that it means the character is gone for good, it’s just the end of the storyline.
Before Elizabeth admitted: ‘I think I’m dead’.
Jimmy suggested they could leave a window open in case she’s not dead.
‘I would beg to leave a window open,’ Elizabeth said.
Elizabeth shared that she greatly enjoys working on the Marvel films, emphasizing that she doesn’t prefer Wanda’s demise but suggested that the writers should come up with an exceptionally inventive method to resurrect her character instead.
However, Jimmy confidently told the star that, given her unique abilities, it was highly likely that Elizabeth’s character could pull off an unexpected return.
It appears that if anyone could solve this, it might well be Wanda who could.

Indeed, I concur with your sentiments. It seems we’re both on the same page regarding the necessity of seeking out brilliant minds to help us sort through this complexity.
Jimmy commented, “There won’t be any objections, I believe, if you’re still around,” as the crowd applauded in agreement.
In the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, released in 2022, Elizabeth took on the role of Wanda Maximoff, who is also known as Scarlet Witch.
In her latest comments, she expressed views different from what she shared with Variety during a previous interview, where she stated that she no longer enjoys portraying the character.
She admitted, “I haven’t done it, and honestly, I’ve been acting as her for nearly a decade now, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
In my own words, I believe the explanation for why I’m not constantly sharing ideas with Kevin Feige is due to the immense pride I feel towards the accomplishments we have achieved together. – Olsen

In simpler terms, the actress from Wind River advised upcoming Marvel actors to be careful about signing multiple movie contracts. She suggested, “Go for just one at a time. That way, you’ll have more power over your career,” she shared during an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
She said, “It removed my capacity to perform specific tasks that I believed were more suited to the activities I appreciate as a spectator.
She went on to say, “I’m being completely truthful here. I began to feel discouraged because even though I had job stability, I was gradually losing aspects that I considered integral to who I am.
‘And the further I got away from that, the less I became considered for it.’
She disclosed that among the roles she declined was one for Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2015 Academy Award-nominated movie, “The Lobster.” (This version is more conversational and easier to understand.)
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share that while my character was once deeply rooted in the Marvel universe, I’ve broadened my horizons since then. In May, I found myself stepping into the world of romantic comedy with A24’s Eternity, sharing the screen with Miles Teller and Callum Turner, under the direction of David Freyne. Moreover, I recently collaborated with Natasha Lyonne in Netflix’s hit series His Three Daughters.
