Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian pays tribute to his mum’s former fiancé Shane Warne with candid throwback photos to mark the late cricketer’s birthday: ‘We miss you every day’

On Saturday, Damian, aged 22, shared a collection of nostalgic photos on Instagram featuring him and his famed mother enjoying time with a renowned cricketer.
One precious photo showed Shane posing up a storm with a young Damian and another captured Damian and his mother relaxing outside with Shane and his son Jackson.
The sweet pictures showcase the strong bond Shane shared with the youngster, during the three years Shane dated his mother Elizabeth from 2010 to 2013.
In the year 2002, Damian came into the world, being the child of Elizabeth and her former wealthy American businessman boyfriend, Steve Bing, who sadly passed away in 2020.

Several well-known associates and relatives of his swiftly responded to the post, with his mom Elizabeth, aged 59, and Jackson, Shane’s son who is 25, among them. They both expressed affection by posting red heart emoticons.
In 2010, the well-known British actress and model, now aged 58, started dating the deceased cricketer. They got engaged in the following year and parted ways in 2013.
Warne described his relationship with Hurley as the “most joyful period” of his life, and he regretted that it didn’t last longer.
On Friday, Shane’s kids expressed a touching homage to their dad on his birthday through social media platforms.
In their own collection, Brooke (age 27), Jackson (age 25), and Summer (age 22) revealed unique, previously unshared photographs depicting the cherished moments they spent with the now deceased cricketing icon.
On March 4, 2022, the renowned spinner passed away suddenly due to a heart attack at the age of 52, during his stay at an extravagant villa on the idyllic Thai vacation spot, Koh Samui.
In a recent development, Hurley appeared in her son Damian’s first directorial project titled Strictly Confidential, where she shares an intense romantic scene with another female character.
She explained that her son’s filmmaking began in childhood and Warne and his kids appeared in many of his early films.
In 2020, Steve Bing, Damian’s biological father who was a well-known American businessman, took his own life. According to Hurley, the tragic experiences they’ve each gone through have brought them an unprecedented closeness.
‘We have suffered loss,’ she told The Telegraph.
Interestingly enough, the film ‘Strictly Confidential’ frequently evokes feelings of loss, much like they appear in many of Damian’s works.
‘Yes, it’s a bond… It was appalling losing Shane; it was a terrible thing. And it’s a sadness, you know, that stays with you a long time.
As people age, they tend to encounter increasing amounts of loss. However, Damian, being a young individual, has already faced more loss than many others might in their lifetime. I believe this has a significant impact on him. I think it influences his writing style and also affects him personally as an artist.
In 2018, Warne expressed about his relationship with Hurley: “The future is uncertain. It’s one thing to be in love with someone and another to truly love them. I will always have affection for Elizabeth, but I don’t believe we’ll rekindle our relationship.
‘When we were together we both had a great time. Unfortunately it didn’t work out.
Instead of blaming anything either of us did, the relationship simply ran its course. We remain close friends, maintaining regular contact, and I believe we continue to be beneficial for one another. Our children also enjoy each other’s company.
Previously, Shane confided to The Mirror: “I underestimated the depth of my love for Elizabeth. I yearn for the affection we shared.
‘My years with Elizabeth were the happiest of my life.’
