Eliot Throws Ring into Ocean

On Sunday, the groom from Married at First Sight, Eliot Donovan, astonished viewers when he tossed his wedding ring into the sea, following his departure from the show alongside his spouse, Veronica Cloherty.

A Queensland entrepreneur, aged 35, just posted a video on social media that was filmed at the beach where he was watching his exit from Married At First Sight (MAFS) on his phone.

The video clearly showed a detailed view of the sparkling diamond ring he was wearing on his hand.

In a cinematic twist, Eliot then removed the ring and defiantly threw it into the shallow waters.

With a wide grin, he could be spotted dashing over the sand hand-in-paw with his dog, signifying the conclusion of his adventure with Veronica and MAFS.

He revealed in the comments section that tossing the ring felt like he was in a Hollywood movie.

It seems like I’m living in a movie currently, and it feels like I could win an Oscar, as suggested by his post accompanied by the hashtag #dramatic.

Many of Eliot’s followers were quick to congratulate him on the bold move.

‘The music, the scenic view, the emotions! Damn, we due for an Oscar nomination!’ one fan gushed.

‘This is ICONIC,’ another added.

It comes after Eliot and Veronica sensationally quit the show on Sunday night.

After a fiery argument witnessed by the specialists and other couples, they chose to depart from the ongoing research together.

The intense vow exchange witnessed Veronica accusing Eliot of repeatedly ‘provoking her’ and consistently ‘silencing her’.

‘No matter how many times I try to resolve it, it doesn’t end well for me,’ she said.

‘I feel completely blindsided by this whole amazing persona you’re putting on for the group.’

After listening to Veronica’s accusations, Eliot defended himself and hit back at her comments.

He clarified, “She’s spoken so much that’s obviously false. It’s quite evident that you’re the one who’s trying to lure me, not the other way around.

Expert John Aiken felt compelled to step in, stating, “I’m utterly puzzled about the situation, but one thing I am certain of is that someone is being untruthful.

‘It’s like the two of you are living in different realities.’

Veronica went on to say she doesn’t ‘hate’ Eliot and apologised that he felt that way.

With tensions at an all-time high, the couple were asked whether they wanted to stay or leave.

Both agreed they wanted to leave the experiment.

Married At First Sight continues 7.30pm on Tuesday on Channel Nine.
