Eliot Donovan’s Shocking Gesture After MAFS Exit Reveals Hidden Truth About His Relationship!

On the reality TV series “Married at First Sight,” Eliot Donovan displayed an emotional act after his unexpected exit from the program.

After officially exiting the experiment, the Gold Coast business owner, 35, picked up fresh fruit for the show’s producers at a Woolworths supermarket.

Photos taken by Daily Mail Australia show Eliot selecting several oranges and apples before paying for them at a self-checkout,

Eliot looked relaxed and composed – a contrast to his demeanour during Sunday night’s commitment ceremony that saw him and Veronica Cloherty split up for good.

He was dressed casually in an off-white shirt over a white tank top, olive cargo pants and white sneakers.

Currently, a source close to the situation has made shocking revelations about Eliot and Veronica’s romance, implying that the series may not have fully depicted the truth behind their relationship.

Insider: ‘It Felt More Like Living With a Prison Guard Than a Wife’

A source close to the situation claims Eliot and Veronica’s honeymoon phase was very short-lived.

‘At the start Eliot and Veronica clicked. Things felt really natural and easy, just like what viewers later saw with her and Dave during Feedback Week,’ the insider explained.

‘But after the first dinner party Veronica’s behaviour towards Eliot changed dramatically. Off-camera she would tell him things like, “Your plot has already been written.” It felt more like he was living with a prison guard than a wife.’

As per the source, the tension increased as Veronica began to align herself with Lauren Hall, who was Eliot’s first wife during the experiment.

Veronica emphasized that Lauren was now her friend, and if Eliot didn’t agree with what she said, she would validate the negative things Lauren had shared about him. Looking back, it appeared that the situation was toxic. They mentioned this as an additional detail.

Additionally, the source claimed that after Veronica perceived a change in public sentiment towards Lauren, she attempted to create some distance between themselves.

‘When people started seeing how horrible Lauren was, Veronica suddenly began using Dave to manipulate Eliot, constantly telling him how amazing Dave was and how he didn’t measure up,’ the source claimed.

‘She Bet on the Wrong Narrative’

It could be argued that Veronica carefully planned her image on the television series.

‘Looking back, it seems like Veronica made a bet that Lauren would be shown as a damsel in distress and she positioned herself as the hero to save the day by putting Eliot in his place, regardless of who he really was or how he acted,’ the insider said.

But according to the source, things didn’t go as planned.

‘Honestly, Veronica’s plan might have worked if it wasn’t for the big hearts of Jamie, Awhina, and Beth, who stood up for Eliot at the dinner party after the confessions letter. That moment shifted the group dynamic and suddenly Lauren started showing her true colours, which in turn exposed Veronica,’ they added.

The Explosive Exit

As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but be deeply affected by the intense Commitment Ceremony between Eliot and Veronica, which ultimately led them to part ways from the experiment. The aftermath of their departure left the cast, as well as the experts, in a state of disarray, with differing opinions echoing throughout the room.

Veronica accused Eliot of ‘baiting’ her, claiming he repeatedly shut her down in conversations.

‘No matter how many times I try to resolve it it doesn’t end well for me,’ she told the experts, adding she felt ‘blindsided’ by Eliot’s ‘amazing persona’ in front of the group.

A visibly frustrated Eliot pushed back.

‘So many things she has said are blatant lies. If anyone is doing the baiting it’s her,’ he fired back.

The couple’s explosive row was only fuelled by their troubled Feedback Week, where Veronica admitted she felt more connected to Dave Hand, her swapped husband, than to Eliot.

She even praised Dave for his small but thoughtful actions, such as clearing her plate after meals while making pointed comments about Eliot’s lack of effort.

In an attempt to reconcile, Eliot offered Veronica a homemade bone broth as a gesture of peace, but she left their apartment in anger instead.

Initially, Eliot was viewed as a controversial bridegroom, but towards the end of the experiment, there’s been a change in how the public views him.
