Elijah Wood, known for playing Frodo Baggins, hinted at some exciting surprise appearances in the upcoming 2027 movie, *The Hunt for Gollum*, during a recent fan event. The film, a new installment in *The Lord of the Rings* series, will be directed by Andy Serkis, who has a long history with the franchise. It’s based on additional writings from J.R.R. Tolkien’s original books. Several original cast members are returning, including Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Wood himself as Frodo.

This will maintain a strong connection to ‘Lord of the Rings,’ as many of the original people are involved, which I’m very enthusiastic about. It’s like reuniting a fantastic team and getting back to work with everyone who knows exactly what we’re doing.
