Elden Ring Nightreign modders are already going ham with custom skins, including Optimus Prime, Stellar Blade’s Eve, and my #1 most-wanted outfit from Dark Souls
I was drawn to User Orange on YouTube due to their 12-minute video highlighting remarkable custom skins for Elden Ring Nightreign created by players. These skins feature characters from various other series, along with even more tributes to the Dark Souls universe.
Currently, it appears these skin replacement modifications cannot be accessed easily. Most of the ones I’ve come across require a tool called the UXM Selective Unpacker. However, the page for UXM seems to have been made private with the message: “The mod may have (potential) permission issues that the author is working to resolve.
Although we can’t utilize the creations of modder KRDCD, we can certainly appreciate the effort they’ve put into their work. The standout pieces are definitely the Nightreign Custom Model Replacers. To put it in a more casual way, it’s like a dream come true with characters such as Eve from Stellar Blade, Optimus Prime, Yorha Unit 2B, and many others all gathered together. The only character seemingly missing is CJ from San Andreas, but I guess he’ll eventually make an appearance too!
My preference leans towards Dark Souls Armor Sets; I’m eager to see more models from Dark Souls integrated into Nightreign, much like the skins we currently have in the game. This update will also feature my top pick for a potential future DLC skin: Sir Alonne from Dark Souls 2, reimagined as Executor.
I’m all about Dark Souls Armor Sets; I can’t wait to see more Dark Souls models imported into Nightreign, mirroring the skins we have now in the game. This update will even include my top choice for a future DLC skin – Sir Alonne from Dark Souls 2, transformed into Executor.
The masked samurai seems to be a precursor to the Executor character, and I was genuinely surprised he wasn’t included in the initial game release. I find it commendable how KRDCD’s skin adaptation swaps out Executor’s typical cursed sword with the comically long-hilted nagamaki (let’s hope FromSoft reintroduces this design). Instead, the Bewitched Alonne Sword is used in its place.
After UXM resumes operation and these modifications become available once more, it would be wise to employ them in conjunction with Yui’s Seamless Co-op to bypass the watchful gaze of Easy Anticheat, also known as Eye of Sauron. Utilizing Yui’s mod allows users to connect to unofficial servers, thereby facilitating a cheat-free modding experience.
