Elden Ring mod allows you to summon DLC bosses as allies
As a fan of Elden Ring and someone who has spent countless hours trying to overcome its challenging bosses, I’m blown away by the creativity of this mod. Summoning defeated bosses as allies is such an ingenious way to make use of those tough-as-nails baddies. It adds a whole new layer of strategy and fun to the game.
As a huge fan of Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, I’ve come across countless challenging boss battles. Yet, one ingenious developer discovered an enjoyable approach to exploit these formidable foes.
A NexusMods modification enables gamers to bring back defeated bosses as combat allies. Essentially, you can now call upon the mighty Messmer, your personal demigod ally, to aid you in subduing other bosses.
Expert: FlippantTunic22, a user on NexusMods, has developed an intriguing new mod. This mod is now accessible for download by anyone. The comprehensive collection, which can be perused in full on the site, encompasses a total of 11 bosses derived from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion. Some notable additions are the summons for Messmer the Impaler, the Golden Hippopotamus, and the Divine Beast Dancing Lion.
In a recent YouTube video, KanesGrace demonstrated an intriguing strategy: summoning bosses to aid in battles against other bosses. The process is depicted in the clip as KanesGrace engages in a tough battle against the Dancing Lion, but later finds success by adding this foe as a summon. This summons makes quick work of certain opponents, simplifying subsequent encounters. However, not all boss battles are one-sided; for instance, when KanesGrace summons Messmer to face off against the Putrescent Knight, the outcome is more balanced due to the comparable stats of both summoned entities.
The outcome is utterly amusing, and it brings to mind the experience of observing a formidable being effortlessly vanquish a boss in Palworld. If you’d prefer to adopt a Pokémon-inspired strategy in Elden Ring, feel free to download the mod right away.
