Ekin-Su Culculoglu recreates iconic Love Island crawl alongside Bre Tiesi during stint on Big Brother-style Netflix show

Ekin-Su Culculoglu, known for her memorable moment crawling on Love Island, has recreated the scene with Bre Tiesi from Selling Sunset.

The pair is currently starring in a Netflix reality show called Inside, which features a group of American celebrities.

Ekin-Su, age 31, jokingly called herself the ‘queen of crawl’ and then immediately demonstrated this by crawling to secretly listen to what the male contestants were talking about.

Just a few days into the show, a noticeable separation has formed between the male and female housemates.

I’ll never forget watching Ekin sneak onto the terrace for a secret kiss with Jay, right while Davide was nearby! It was such a shocking moment, and honestly, a bit iconic.

She performed a provocative crawl during her performance on Dancing On Ice, set to the song ‘Toxic,’ which resulted in 112 complaints to the broadcasting regulator Ofcom.

Okay, so things were really tough for me after *Celebrity Big Brother*. Honestly, I hit a bit of a low point, but I’m thrilled to share that I’ve landed an amazing opportunity – I’m heading to the US to be on a really big show! It feels incredible to turn things around and I can’t wait to share more with you all.

In March 2024, the reality TV contestant was the fourth person voted off the ITV show. Other contestants had said she wasn’t being genuine and was acting for the cameras.

Earlier this year, Ekin-Su discussed the challenging time that followed on Jamie Laing’s podcast, Great Company.

The actress shared that she was sent death threats after the show came out, and felt it was released at a particularly difficult moment.

The negative reaction really affected her emotionally, and she found herself crying for hours before finally reaching out to a therapist for support.

Now, Ekin-Su is ready for a fresh start as she has become one of the cast members for Inside: USA. 

The new reality show, which premiered on Netflix on September 21st, is inspired by a popular format originally created by the Sidemen, a YouTube group from the UK.

The show features popular internet creators who move in together and are filmed 24/7. They compete in challenges, testing their abilities, all for the chance to win a cash prize they’ll share.

Though the show’s basic format-a small house and constant cameras-is similar to Celebrity Big Brother, Inside: USA adds a strong element of competition.

Players need to collaborate to finish challenges and safeguard their winnings, and even essential items aren’t free.

Ekin-Su will be living with a group of well-known faces from the US, including Breana Tiesi from Selling Sunset, plus popular online creators like Sketch, Jay Cinco, Sydney Thomas, and Max Fosh.

Elsewhere, Ekin-Su revealed she is quitting reality TV and making a pivot back to serious acting.

Before becoming famous on the 2022 season of Love Island, the winner had already appeared in a Turkish television series and a soap opera.

She now appears eager to return to her acting beginnings and is even hoping to find success in the American market.

I’m so excited for Ekin! She recently told The Sun she’s stepping back from reality TV, and while she’s keeping her next steps quiet – everyone’s already trying to figure it out, apparently – she seems really happy about it, and that’s all that matters to me.

I don’t dislike working with real-life situations – that’s where my background is – but I’m ready to focus more on projects with detailed plans and written scripts again.

Ekin-Su shared that she’s planning a month-long trip to America, hoping to pursue a career in Hollywood.

Many people dream of succeeding in Hollywood, but the reality is it’s incredibly difficult.

‘One day… manifestation… it’s true,’ she added.
