He’s always enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, whether it was during his wild days as a member of the exclusive Bullingdon Club at Oxford University, or later at White’s, one of London’s most traditional and exclusive gentlemen’s clubs. He even resigned from White’s before becoming Prime Minister, likely to avoid any appearance of impropriety.

David Cameron enjoys good food, but it has led to him gaining weight. He’s often been seen dining at places like Scott’s.

Mayfair is home to a restaurant where diners can enjoy a luxurious lunch, starting with appetizers like seared foie gras, a fig tart, and pistachios. They can then move on to a full grilled lobster, and finish with a rich triple chocolate cake.

I’m hearing a lot of praise for Lord Cameron’s weight loss, with some comparing it to the remarkable transformation the late Lord Lawson achieved when he lost five stone quickly.

‘Dave’s lost four stone,’ a chum tells me.

Lord Cameron, age 58 (pictured in 2019), reportedly sought weight loss treatments. It’s unclear whether he used supplements or injections, and his spokesperson says they won’t be commenting as it’s a private matter.

This isn’t the first time Cameron has struggled with his weight. Before the 2015 election, he gave up bread and exercised regularly, running every other day.

Another pal tells me: ‘He has lost weight, but more like a stone and a half – not four.’

Oh my gosh, I just keep picturing Dave right now, maybe enjoying one of Scott’s amazing truffle boxes on the way home to the Cotswolds! And then, a huge, fancy dinner with all his celeb friends in Chipping Norton? Seriously, the thought is everything!

American life is such a scream! 

Joss Stone discussed relocating with her old friend Prince Harry during his recent visit.

‘Maybe he’ll move back, too,’ she said. ‘That would be nice.’

Pop singer Joss Stone, age 38, has moved back to her home county of Devon, England, with her American husband, Cody DaLuz, so their oldest child can start school. She’s also happy to be leaving one aspect of American life behind.

She told me about cicadas – bugs that make a loud screaming sound when you touch them. She even had one in her car recently. ‘I just brushed it off, and it screamed!’ she said, describing it as a frightening experience. She shared this story with me at the Boisdale Music Awards in London.

Ross is King of sequins 

Sarah Symonds, who has been reported as having a past relationship with Gordon Ramsay, says she’s finding it hard to watch the latest season of Strictly Come Dancing.

I can’t watch the show this year because my ex, Ross King – who I jokingly call ‘Mr Sequins’ – is participating. The 63-year-old Scottish TV presenter will be a natural fit, I think. I’ll always remember how he used to keep his mouthwash – bright blue, of all things – in a huge crystal decanter, right next to his hair straighteners in the bathroom.

‘It was fun staying over at his Hollywood Hills home, as I never had to take much.’

Looks like it was a heavy night, Cara

I’ve been a fan of Cara Delevingne for years, and I was so proud to hear she got sober at 30, leaving drugs and alcohol behind. However, even now, she seems to be constantly busy and pushing herself incredibly hard – it’s like she’s still living life at a really fast pace, and I worry she might be overdoing it.

The 33-year-old model shared a photo online showing her wearing a face mask connected to a humidifier while in bed. The device helps with breathing by providing oxygen.

She was also seen wearing a head wrap designed to relieve headaches, migraines, or simply help with relaxation.

‘Music, music, sleep, repeat,’ she wrote alongside the picture.

I’ve been following Cara’s journey lately, and she’s talked about focusing on her wellbeing. She’s shared that she’s really been working on being kinder and more understanding towards herself, which I think is amazing.

It’s hard keeping up with Anne

Staff appear to struggle to keep up with the hardest–working royal, Princess Anne.

She’s hiring a programme manager again, having originally advertised for the position two years ago. The salary has increased from £32,500 to £38,000 a year.

Princess Anne, age 75, completed 474 public engagements last year, surpassing King Charles’s 372. The King was receiving treatment for cancer at the time.

According to a posting on the royal website, the Programme Manager will be responsible for making sure all events run smoothly and honorably represent the Princess Royal’s supported organizations and military connections.

 

Alan Rusbridger, the recently departed editor of Prospect magazine, has been criticized by a former editor, David Goodhart. Goodhart suggests the 72-year-old Rusbridger is losing his touch.

In an article for The Critic magazine, Goodhart criticized the current issue of Prospect, calling it uninspired and predictable, and its writers dull. He compared the situation to a bizarre and unexpected event – imagining Queen Mary headbutting the Duchess of Gloucester.

 

Steve Shaw, a British fashion photographer, throws parties for Hollywood celebrities – he even celebrated Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar win. However, he says it can be challenging to ensure only the right people get in.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! He told me this story, and I’m still reeling! Apparently, some random people – total strangers, he didn’t even know who they *were* – somehow managed to sneak in. Can you imagine?! They tried to take a selfie with Ryan Seacrest – *Ryan Seacrest!* – and he was SO annoyed, he had security kick them out! Honestly, good for him. Some people have no respect. I was practically dying when he told me – it’s just… amazing!
