
For over 25 years, the secret of the treasure has been a big puzzle for fans of Eiichiro Oda’s famous One Piece series. But now, those fans are much closer to finding out the truth.
To celebrate the sale of 600 million copies of One Piece, creator Eiichiro Oda teamed up with the Japan Agency for Marine Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) for a special project. A new video on the official One Piece YouTube channel shows Oda writing the answer to the long-awaited question, “What is the One Piece?” for the first time ever.

The solution to the puzzle isn’t revealed in the video. Instead, the clue—written on a single piece of paper—was locked in a chest and dropped to the bottom of the ocean.
