KONAMI is releasing a major new update, v5.2.0, for eFootball 2026. This update significantly improves the game with expanded campaigns, new features, gameplay adjustments, and several enhancements to make the experience smoother and more enjoyable. Campaigns and Events Overview

The December event schedule is packed, and several campaign types overlap throughout the month.

FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign

The FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign kicks things off with new ways to find special players, guaranteed Show Time players, and a special in-game shop. This shop lets you trade event rewards for items, managers, boosts, and other helpful resources.

African Cup of Nations campaign

The Africa Cup of Nations tournament is happening now, showcasing top players like Salah, Mané, and Osimhen. You can also complete challenges in the game to earn a special, upgraded version of the legendary player El-Hadji Diouf.

Festive Season campaigns

A special holiday campaign starts on December 18th, introducing the popular Epic Oliver Kahn and his new in-game ability, Spirit Roar, plus some new items with a holiday theme.

We’re kicking off the CONNECT 30th Anniversary Campaign! Players can get involved by sharing their ideas for future Nominating Contracts. We’re also planning more Special Player Lists featuring stars from the Brazilian League, and will be releasing several new legendary players throughout the anniversary celebration.

New Event Types

In addition to the new in-game promotions, we’re adding a new type of event starting December 4, 2025. This event will prevent you from using the same players repeatedly in winning teams, encouraging you to switch up your lineup and try different strategies.

Starting December 18, 2025, the Tour Rally event will begin, letting you earn points by achieving in-game goals like scoring, winning headers, or succeeding in one-on-one battles.

Match Analysis Feature

We’ve added a new system to help you analyze your gameplay. It looks at your last ten player-versus-player (PvP) matches and shows you charts detailing your style – like how frequently you dash, use finesse dribbles, or play defense.

The system also monitors defensive skills like pressing opponents, staying close to your assigned player, and general movement, which is a nice feature. It lets you see how your playing style compares to players in different leagues. The fact that it analyzes the last 10 matches is a good amount of data to help you identify areas for improvement.

Real‑Time Advice and Expanded AI‑Control

The game now watches what commands you give during matches and will offer advice or commentary from players and managers. At halftime and after the game, you’ll receive even more detailed suggestions, including helpful visuals. It’s currently unclear if you can disable these tips.

The game now lets you customize how much help you get from AI during gameplay. You can set the AI to handle difficult parts, and then take over personally when precision and control are key.

The booster crafting system has been significantly improved! You can now create twelve new types of boosters, including options focused on Accuracy, Regista skills, and Ball Protection. Random Booster Tokens are also better – they now select from a wider range of fifteen different boosters, tailored to your player position.

New Managers: Ronald Koeman and Gennaro Gattuso

Okay, so a new manager just dropped in the game – Ronald Koeman! It’s cool because he actually played the game before, which is awesome. He’s bringing a new tactic with him called Aggressive Centring A, and his pack has two really strong players. Plus, they even made a 3D model of him for the game, which is a nice touch!

A new player pack is on its way, featuring David Beckham and Koller, designed to complement the game’s updated tactics. Gennaro Gattuso joins as a new manager option for the FIFAe World Cup 25 season, and details about his unique playing style are currently being kept secret.

Gameplay Adjustments

This update improves how through balls work in the game. Konami adjusted the defending system to make these passes more realistic. They’ve made it so faster players don’t have as big an advantage, reduced how quickly stamina affects speed, and made defensive positioning more responsive to player acceleration.

New Goal Celebrations

We’ve added some new celebrations to the game, but they don’t happen all the time. You might see one after scoring a great long-distance goal or finishing a play with a perfect, quick shot.
