With so many great cards being released in eFootball 2026, it’s hard to know which ones are truly the best. Players are trying to build strong teams, but a high rating isn’t the only thing that matters.
As a big eFootball fan, I’m always trying to build the best team possible, and I’ve learned it’s about more than just picking popular players. A lot of people overlook how important specific stats are! For me, building a truly strong squad starts with finding the *right* striker to lead the attack. So, I wanted to share what I’ve learned – this guide breaks down the key attributes and skills you should be looking for when you’re trying to find that perfect forward in eFootball 2026.
Top Attributes and Skills for a Forward in eFootball 2026
Center Forward (CF)
When choosing a Center Forward in eFootball 2026, players often prioritize stats like Finishing, Heading, and Physical Strength. However, it’s rare to find a striker who excels at both shooting and heading the ball.
Depending on your formation and how you like to play, you might not even need a traditional goal-scorer. However, it’s crucial that any striker you choose can reliably finish chances, ideally scoring in the late 80s or 90s of a game. If you prefer a possession-based style of play, your strikers should also be good at connecting passes and building up attacks.
Strong ball control and keeping possession of the ball allow for better movement, and a reliable short pass is sufficient. If you prefer a counter-attacking style, like quick counters or long ball counters, speed and acceleration are crucial for getting the ball to your forwards and creating scoring opportunities.

The ‘Long Ball’ style relies on sending lofted passes to your players, meaning strong Offensive Awareness is crucial. You’ll also need to prioritize good Ball Control and Physical Contact for success with this approach.
Controlling the ball with your first touch and protecting it from opponents has been a successful strategy for a while. If you’re playing on the wings, strong heading ability is important for finishing crosses from your teammates. Essential skills to have are first-time shots and long-range shooting.
To truly play as an effective striker, players absolutely need to master passing skills – specifically, quick one-touch passes and through balls. I’ve found these are essential because I like to experiment with different striker setups and build up plays effectively. Adding a couple of shooting techniques, like a rising or dipping shot, is also very beneficial.
Second Striker (SS)
When choosing a Second Striker in eFootball 2026, most players prioritize skills like dribbling, ball control, and passing. But it can be difficult to find a player who’s equally good at both creating chances and scoring goals.
Whether or not you need a striker with excellent finishing skills depends on how you want them to play. If they’re mainly there to assist your main forward, high finishing isn’t essential. However, if you want your striker to be a versatile scorer, they should have a Finishing stat of at least 80.
In the Possession Game, a strong SS (Shadow Striker) is key to linking the midfield and attack. To excel, they need to be good at keeping possession of the ball, controlling the pace of play, and making short, accurate passes. Being able to dribble skillfully in crowded areas is also crucial.

When it comes to different game strategies, quickness and pace are key for your Shadow Striker. You’ll want them to rapidly move into open spaces behind the opponent’s defense and connect well with your Center Forward.
Teams that rely on long passes need midfielders with strong positioning and awareness to win loose balls and be in the right place at the right time. Good ball control and the ability to handle physical challenges are also important, allowing them to hold onto the ball and pass it to their attackers. Being able to receive passes while under pressure is crucial for this style of play.
For a successful Striker (SS), mastering One Touch Passing and Through Passing is essential – they significantly improve chance creation. Players who enjoy dribbling will benefit from Double Touch and Sole Control, while adding Long Range Shooting and Dipping Shot to their skillset can turn them into unexpected goal threats.
Left Wing Forward/Right Wing Forward (LWF/RWF)
Wing Forwards are exciting, fast-paced players in eFootball 2026. They’re most effective when they have high stats in Speed, Dribbling, and Crossing. It’s uncommon to find a winger who’s equally good at creating chances and scoring goals, so you’ll likely need to prioritize certain skills based on how you like to play.
A Possession Game focuses on keeping control of the ball through short, quick passing and skillful dribbling, especially to connect play on the wings. Players in this system, often wingers, create chances by making accurate crosses or short passes into the penalty area.
As a fan, I’ve noticed that when it comes to how teams counterattack, speed and acceleration are *huge* for wing forwards. They’re usually the ones leading the charge on fast breaks, and if they don’t have those qualities, it’s really tough to take advantage of openings behind the other team’s defense. Basically, they need to be quick to make those plays work!

For a “Long Ball” strategy, wing forwards need to be smart and have good passing skills to make the most of the game. They’ll either be running onto long passes or delivering accurate crosses to the strikers. Because they run so much, good stamina is also essential for wingers, and this is true for players positioned ‘Out Wide’ as well.
Creative wing players often rely on moves like Pinpoint Crossing and Cut Behind & Turn. Adding Knuckle Shots and Rising Shots gives them more ways to score. Skilled dribblers can beat defenders using moves like Double Touch and Step On Skill Control.
