Epic packs are still being released regularly in eFootball 2026, and this time KONAMI is featuring some legendary Spanish League Midfielders. These cards have proven to be effective in the game, often creating problems for opposing defenses.

Barcelona fans will be excited to see that two of their midfielders now have two special ‘Show Time’ skills in the game. This update also features new positions, skills, and playing styles for Andrés Iniesta, Yaya Touré, and Guti.

Andrés Iniesta

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Hole Player
  • Show Time Skill: Momentum Dribbling and Phenomenal Pass

Fans who enjoy a playstyle focused on players making quick runs beyond the defense always love Iniesta cards. His movement feels incredibly smooth and natural, enhanced by Momentum Dribbling, and he has an exceptional ability to find teammates with precise passes.

While Iniesta isn’t a top finisher, he’s still capable of scoring goals. Compared to the Iniesta released in the older Barcelona pack, his finishing stats are a bit lower now. He benefits from improvements to his strength and kicking power, making him hard to dispossess.

Yaya Toure

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Anchor Man
  • Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Finishing

Yaya Touré is arguably the best player in this group and a surprisingly effective defensive midfielder in the game. When used with the Anchor Man playstyle, he’s a top choice for defending in formations that use just one DMF.

The new Long-Reach Tackle skill is ideal for defensive midfielders who need to break up opposing attacks. Building Yaya with a larger physique is also key, making him a dominant force in the middle of the field. Finally, the Phenomenal Pass ability lets him quickly turn defense into attack with fast counterattacks.

Having this Show Time skill is a key advantage for Touré, helping him compete against players like Vieira. He offers a strong combination of physical strength and tackling ability – particularly long-reach tackles, similar to Vieira – alongside good passing skills and exceptional passing attributes, reminiscent of Busquets.

Guti

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Box-to-Box
  • Show Time Skill: Visionary Pass

Okay, so I was a little disappointed when I pulled Guti from the pack – he’s never been super popular, mostly just loved by fans who already follow him and Real Madrid. But this new card is interesting! Instead of being a “Creative Playmaker” or “Orchestrator” like before, they’ve given him a “Box-to-Box” playstyle, which is a nice change-up.

The surprising thing is that Guti isn’t very strong physically or defensively. He excels as an attacking midfielder or playmaker, using his excellent dribbling skills to move the ball forward and create scoring opportunities with precise through passes to the forwards.

This card isn’t a game-changer. Truly impactful midfielders, like Gerrard (Box-to-Box) from the 30th Anniversary Special and Scholes (Orchestrator) from the Legends Assemble selection, represent the very best in the game.

Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Epic Spanish League Midfielders

I think the midfielders from the Spanish League are a strong group, and could be really helpful for players looking for a top-quality defensive midfielder. Yaya Touré, in particular, is excellent. He’s a fantastic defensive midfielder who can also make good passes, thanks to his Show Time skill.

For fans who miss having a dynamic midfielder, adding Iniesta to your team would be a fantastic choice. However, Guti doesn’t quite measure up and isn’t well-suited for fast-paced, counter-attacking strategies.

Whether this pack is worth it really depends on your team. If you’re lacking a top-tier defensive midfielder like Vieira, Pirlo, or Rijkaard, it could be a good investment. Otherwise, if you support Barcelona, you might prefer to spend your coins on the new Iniesta card, and a Touré card would still be a solid pull.
