I’ve always favored tall defenders, and Merih Demiral was a standout player for me in PES. Statistically, he looks like a very strong and reliable center-back. His high ratings in areas like awareness, tackling, and aggression make him perfect for a defensive, ball-winning role.
He excels in the air, thanks to his height and jumping reach, making him dependable against crosses and long passes. The biggest weakness of this player card is speed, as many similar cards prioritize other attributes considered essential in the current game environment (‘meta’).
No matter how you equip him, he probably won’t be very fast, which could be a problem for a defender who needs to cover a lot of ground. However, he can still be effective if you focus on smart positioning and well-timed blocks instead of relying on speed.
