eFootball 2026 Show Time Trusted Shields (Allison, Gvardiol, van de Ven) pack review

In the latest update to eFootball 2026, a new type of pack called ‘Trusted Shields’ has been released. This pack focuses on strong defenders and features cards for Alisson Becker, Joško Gvardiol, and Micky van de Ven, all with special ‘Show Time’ skills.

These cards look great, and the stats seem good for beginners. However, many players are likely wondering if this pack is worth buying. Here’s my opinion on all three of them.

eFootball 2026 Show Time Trusted Shields Players

Alisson Becker

  • Position: GK
  • Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
  • Show Time Skills: Visionary Pass and GK Directing Defense

Okay, seriously, I just pulled Alisson Becker and he’s a beast! He’s easily the best goalkeeper I’ve gotten in a pack so far. Not only is he super strong going forward – an offensive GK, which is awesome – but his player ID is one of the highest for a keeper in the game. His reflexes, parrying ability, and reach are all top-notch, meaning he almost *never* lets in easy goals. If you build him up right, you can get all those stats over 95, which is insane!

Having a Visionary Pass significantly elevates a goalkeeper beyond just preventing goals. They already distribute the ball well, and while their passes might not always land right at a forward’s feet, it’s enough to quickly launch effective counterattacks.

GK Directing Defense subtly improves the positioning of your defenders when used in goal, making your backline more solid. This card has no noticeable drawbacks and is a very strong choice overall.

Joško Gvardiol

  • Position: LB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
  • Show Time Skills: Fortress and Blitz Curler

This card is definitely unusual. Gvardiol has a ‘Blitz Curler’ skill as a Left Back, which is confusing many players. Putting that aside, let’s look at the card itself. Gvardiol is clearly a very strong and solid fullback – a real defensive powerhouse.

This player is fast, easily reaching speeds over 90. While the ‘Blitz Curler’ skill seems interesting, given he’s left-footed and plays on the left, it likely isn’t very effective. He’s not particularly skillful with the ball, but his dependable defending and strong physique allow him to play as a center back (CB) as well.

This player has a solid overall rating and decent stats on his card, but his skillset is a bit scattered. He doesn’t really excel in any one area, which is surprising. Using him as a Left Midfielder (LMF) seems like a good option. However, with improved defensive and passing stats, he could have been a very effective Defensive Midfielder (DMF).

Micky van de Ven

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Show Time Skill: Long-Reach Tackle

Okay, if you’re keeping up with the eFootball 2026 meta, you *know* how good Van de Ven is right now. This card is seriously amazing. He’s one of the quickest center backs in the game – I’m talking 90+ speed and acceleration, and that’s at 6’4″! He just *covers* so much ground, making him a beast at shutting down attacks. Honestly, he’s a game-changer back there.

He’s also excellent at defensive stats. His strong tackling and aggressive play make him a valuable asset, and he’s very reliable when competing for aerial balls. His Long-Reach Tackle ability is particularly impressive, allowing him to intercept passes and win possession cleanly, even against opponents who seem just out of reach.

Okay, so he’s not the best at passing or staying on his feet if I try to build plays from the defense. But honestly, if I need someone to completely shut down the opponent’s quick attacks and chase down speedy forwards, Van de Ven is terrifying for anyone trying to attack. He’s a defensive powerhouse!

Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Show Time Trusted Shields players

This defensive set is dependable, but it doesn’t quite offer the extra flair that justifies a high price. Alisson is the best player in the pack, thanks to his Visionary Pass and consistent performance, though the improvement over his regular card isn’t massive.

Gvardiol is a solid player card, but his Blitz Curler trait doesn’t seem very effective. Van de Ven’s Long-Reach Tackle is a helpful addition and provides good speed. Overall, these three cards are reliable, but not exceptional. They create a dependable defensive lineup, but don’t feature any truly standout defenders.

Pack Rating: 2.5 out of 5
