To celebrate Arsenal’s Premier League win, eFootball 2026 is releasing a special Show Time Martin Ødegaard pack. This pack, available as a separate 50-player draw, features a special version of Arsenal’s captain, created by KONAMI, to commemorate the team ending their 22-year wait for the league title.
The best thing about this release is the smaller set size – only 50 players total. This significantly increases your chances of getting the specific player you’re looking for, making it a potentially easier collecting opportunity.
This card is quite controversial, with many players disagreeing with how it plays and its overall stats. Here’s my take on whether it’s worth picking up in a 50-player draft.
eFootball 2026 Show Time Martin Ødegaard review
Martin Ødegaard
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Pass and Attack Trigger
I’ve always enjoyed Martin Ødegaard’s Player of the Week cards, particularly the ones that highlight his ability to move all over the field. That’s why I’m not thrilled with how this new card is designed as a central midfielder. When you look at his stats, it doesn’t quite fit his playing style.
He doesn’t have much natural defensive skill, so trying to make him play defensively just to fit a certain style feels pointless. Even with a lot of investment in defense, his stats aren’t strong enough to reliably use him as a defensive midfielder.
I think this player works best as a versatile, all-around midfielder. When used in a more attacking role, he becomes a real threat. His dribbling should be top-notch, his passing is naturally excellent thanks to his special ability, and his Attack Trigger skill is quite effective in that position.
I’d also focus on increasing his speed. Even if his base stats don’t seem impressive, boosting his speed and acceleration into the 90s really improves his performance compared to the default build.
His finishing is pretty good – not amazing, but certainly reliable. The new skills he has really improve that aspect of his game. As with most Odegaard cards, his weaker foot is still a bit of a drawback, so it’s best to use him on the right wing.
This player is really only suited for Arsenal fans’ teams. I wouldn’t consider them a particularly strong addition to my squad overall. They’re excellent at passing, but don’t offer much beyond that skill.
Suggested Skills: First Time Shot, Outside Curler, Low Lofted Pass, Sole Control, Marseille Turn
