eFootball 2026 Show Time Japanese Stars pack review

A new set of players, called the “Japanese Stars” pack, is now available in eFootball 2026. It highlights three exciting Japanese footballers: Junya Ito, Ayase Ueda, and Zion Suzuki.

Beyond just looking at the card list and numbers, does this new set actually feel exciting? And even if it’s not a huge leap forward, are the cards good enough to make it worth trying to get them? Here’s my detailed review.

eFootball 2026 Show Time Japanese Stars players

Junya Ito

  • Position: RMF
  • Playing Style: Cross Specialist
  • Showtime Skill: Momentum Dribbling and Edged Crossing

I had a feeling Ito would be quick and responsive with the ball, and this card delivers on that. He’s incredibly smooth to control thanks to his balance, agility, and speed. Plus, his dribbling and crossing abilities make him a real threat when playing wide.

He’s quick and can easily get past defenders, delivering precise low or high crosses without hesitation – making him a great fit for most modern attacking formations. I was particularly impressed by his consistent performance throughout the entire match, as he maintains good stamina. While his finishing could be improved, he excels in all other areas expected of a player focused on providing crosses.

Ayase Ueda

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing and Bullet Header

I really wanted this player pack because of Ueda. I used to play with his 93-rated card and remember how well he performed, and this new card is a big improvement. He’s one of those players who just delivers, even without amazing stats – maybe it’s something special about Japanese players in the game.

Ueda appears to be a straightforward, goal-oriented striker. He’s quick and decisive in the penalty area, with good acceleration for making runs, and surprisingly effective with headers despite his height. I think his ‘Bullet Header’ skill is particularly strong for a striker.

My version of this player has excellent dribbling and ball control, approaching 90s ratings, but he’s not really designed to be a dribbler. He’s also fairly good at holding up the ball. If you prefer to play with through balls or crosses to your striker, Ueda is a great fit. I only added the ‘Double Touch’ skill to his build, and it’s proven to be very useful.

Zion Suzuki

  • Position: GK
  • Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
  • Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass

Suzuki is a well-liked goalkeeper, and his newest card is a noticeable upgrade, particularly for players who prefer keepers who can quickly distribute the ball. He has surprisingly accurate passing, and his ‘Visionary Pass’ ability makes him great at launching fast counterattacks.

He’s also incredibly quick and has excellent range. While he sometimes ventures far from the goal – which can be dangerous if you’re not in the right spot – his great reflexes and ability to make saves more than compensate. He’s a fantastic player to use in a Long Ball strategy, as he can accurately deliver passes to your attackers.

Verdict on the Show Time Japanese Stars players in eFootball 2026

These players aren’t really for teams already building a solid lineup. I personally thought Ueda and Suzuki were great – they fit my style of play, and their flaws are very minor. They also have good in-game stats, but I’m not sure if you’re interested in players who aren’t well-known.

Pack Rating: 2.5 out of 5
