eFootball 2026 Show Time Attack Trigger (Bruno, de Jong, Reece) pack review

eFootball 2026 is adding a brand new move called the Show Time Attack Trigger. As usual, it’s being released with a special pack featuring players who have this move, including Bruno Fernandes, Frenkie de Jong, and Reece James. These players also have another Show Time ability available.

This new Show Time skill helps players coordinate their attacks better. When a player with the Attack Trigger has the ball, it boosts the attacking awareness of all their teammates.

A lot of people are unsure how these cards function, and whether they actually work as intended. I tested them out myself to see if the ‘Attack Trigger’ effect is useful in actual games, and to help you decide if this pack is worth the money.

Bruno Fernandes

  • Position: AMF
  • Playing Style: Hole Player
  • Show Time Skill: Low Screamer and Attack Trigger

I was really surprised to see Bruno missing from the Manchester United lineup on Monday, and honestly, I’m still a bit surprised. While he seems impressive on paper, when you compare him to the very best attacking midfielders, he doesn’t quite match their speed, agility with the ball, or passing accuracy.

Okay, so I might have been a little harsh – he’s actually a pretty well-rounded player. He doesn’t necessarily wow you with big numbers, but his close control and ability to keep possession are really good. I like how comfortable he looks getting the ball even when he’s crowded by defenders. My main concern, though, is his strength – he seems to get easily knocked off the ball, and I picked up on that pretty fast.

Bruno feels a bit more physically imposing than players like Zola, who relies on finesse and quickness. He might have benefited more from a dribbling style focused on power and momentum rather than quick, short touches.

Here’s what I discovered about the Attack Trigger feature: I noticed a clear change in player behavior. When Bruno received the ball at the AMF position, my Gerd Müller immediately began making runs – almost like a small boost to their connection. I confirmed this wasn’t a coincidence because it also happened with my Puskas and Batistuta players when they were in the same situation.

If this ability continues to develop, and we manage to pair it with a powerful player who excels at both creating opportunities and finishing them, it could be a really formidable combination. That potential was the most appealing aspect of this Bruno card.

Frenkie de Jong

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Orchestrator
  • Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Pass and Attack Trigger

I was hoping to get a specific card, but unfortunately, I didn’t pull it. That’s just how it goes sometimes. I’m not too upset though, because the rest of the cards in this pack have been pretty good. Based on the card’s stats and what I know from previous sets, this one is likely the strongest card in the whole pack.

This midfielder has exceptional defensive abilities. He’s very fast and has incredible stamina, plus he’s a good passer and dribbler. With the right training as a central midfielder, he could even become an elite-level player. I believe this is the best way to develop his skills.

Frenkie is a naturally gifted midfielder, known for his ability to control the game, dribble past opponents, and keep possession. This new card enhances those skills, making him a real threat when building attacks. If he had the ‘Link Up’ ability, he’d be incredibly powerful, which is why many players are disappointed they didn’t get him.

Reece James

  • Position: RB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
  • Show Time Skill: Edged Crossing and Attack Trigger

I’ve seen some people unhappy with this player, particularly regarding their dribbling. However, I didn’t experience that at all. They didn’t feel slow or unresponsive in my gameplay. Actually, I think they performed better than Bruno, which was a pleasant surprise.

He’s a physically strong player who isn’t easily pushed off the ball. He’s quick, defends well, and passes accurately. His high ‘Curl’ stat is noticeable in his crosses and free kicks, and when combined with his ‘Edged Crossing’ ability, makes him a real threat when playing wide.

Attack Trigger doesn’t have the same strong effect when used on a defender as it does on an attacking midfielder like Bruno. It just doesn’t feel as significant, and seems better suited for players in more forward, central positions.

Suggested Skills: Double Touch, Cut Behind and Turn, Sliding Tackle, Blocker, Man Marking

Suggested Booster(s): Crossing, Passing

Suggested Progression Points Allocation for Reece James

Best pick from the Show Time Attack Trigger pack in eFootball 2026

Bruno is a solid player, and the way the new skills work is actually quite engaging. Reece James is consistently playing well, but doesn’t always get the recognition he deserves. Personally, I think Frenkie is still the best player of the three and the one I was hoping to get the most.

Is learning this skill worthwhile? I enjoyed it and think it would be particularly useful for players who frequently move into the opponent’s half – like attacking midfielders, shadow strikers, and central midfielders. I haven’t seen much impact with Reece yet, but that might change. Even without mastering the skill, this pack still offers some good rewards.
