eFootball 2026 Ruben Amorim Manager Guide: Best formations, instructions, and tactics

Many eFootball 2026 players are exploring the ‘Link Up for Managers’ feature, which allows for unique team combinations and formations. One of the managers available to use is Ruben Amorim.

If you’ve been playing eFootball 2026 since the beginning, you might already have Ruben Amorim as a manager, as he’s currently the only free one available. In this guide, I’ll take a closer look at Amorim and share my tips on how to use him effectively in the game.

eFootball 2026 Ruben Amorim Manager Guide: Introduction

He’s a great free addition to the team, boasting an impressive 89 Out Wide skill level. He excels at crossing and connecting with teammates. His special Link-up tactic, Aggressive Centring A, is all about creating scoring opportunities from the wings.

His strategy centers around a playmaker in wide midfield who dictates the play and a clinical striker who excels at finishing crosses. Additionally, Amorim provides a significant advantage with increased skills in both physical battles and delivering lofted passes – two very valuable assets.

Best formations using Ruben Amorim in eFootball 2026

If you’re planning to use Ruben Amorim in eFootball 2026, here are two formations that work well with his preferred style of play, as he’s most effective when using it.

1) 4-1-3-2

You have some flexibility in choosing an attacking strategy, depending on your preference. However, my current setup has been successful, even without a forward specifically focused on scoring. I use one defensive midfielder – they can play as either an Anchor Man or an Orchestrator – to support your regular defenders.

Within our team setup, which can be adjusted for more scoring power, we have a player who excels at both playmaking and scoring. This player acts as our central distributor, and our wing positions can be filled by either a versatile, roaming attacker or another specialist focused on crosses. Our primary offensive focus, however, will be on our top two players.

I like to use a combination of Hole Player and Fake Inside/Outside Run plays. The Hole Player is great for finding open space where the defense leaves it, and even just a simple running play can be effective. This setup also allows for crossing routes, and the Fake Inside/Outside Run can pull defenders, opening up opportunities to score.

2) 4-4-2

This Manchester United setup offers a solid balance between attack and defense, without relying on overly complex strategies. Using four midfielders – including one player focused on delivering crosses from wide areas – allows you to effectively stretch the opposition’s defense and create opportunities for crosses into the box.

The ‘FITB’ player makes smart, decisive runs to meet crosses and score, while the ‘Goal Poacher’ consistently runs to get into scoring positions. This setup also allows for quick passing combinations in midfield if crosses aren’t an option. Personally, I think a defensive midfielder (‘Anchor Man’) paired with a dynamic, all-around midfielder (‘Box-to-Box’) works best in the center of the field.

Player Recommendations and Key Stats

Centrepiece (Cross Specialist/LMF, RMF)

We’re looking for a strong central midfielder who excels at controlling the game and providing accurate crosses. They absolutely need a High Lofted Pass rating of at least 85, and good Speed and Balance will be key for creating chances and connecting with teammates.

I’d rather this player not have the ‘Track Back’ ability, as he’s more valuable when focusing on attacking. Most right midfielders (RMFs) already have good dribbling skills, so that’s not a major concern. It’s worth remembering to use a right-footed player at RMF and a left-footed player at left midfield (LMF).

Recommended Skills: One Touch Pass, Pinpoint Crossing, Outside Curler

Key Man (Fox in the Box/CF)

Being aware of your surroundings is crucial. Some players struggle with positioning, so it’s important to have a card with at least 92 overall rating. Quick acceleration will also help you react and get into position fast.

If your team focuses on aerial plays, it’s best to have a tall striker. However, height isn’t everything – my preferred striker isn’t tall, but excels at winning headers. Ideally, your striker should have heading and jump stats of 80 or higher, and physical contact stats in a similar range.

Recommended Skills: Heading, Aerial Superiority, Fighting Spirit
