This season, eFootball 2026 is offering a ton of player cards and options. From impressive Epic cards to powerful Show Time releases and a wide selection of Big Time players, there’s something for every type of player.
The attacking midfield position is now extremely competitive. Lots of new players are emerging, all hoping to bring creativity, control the game, and help their teams win. Because there are so many options, it’s harder than ever to determine which players truly perform well when it counts.
Here’s a straightforward list of the 10 best Attacking Midfielders (AMF) you can use in eFootball 2026, making it easy to find top players.
Top 10 Best AMFs in eFootball 2026
As a fan, I love that this ranking doesn’t hold back – it looks at midfielders of any rarity, not just the super rare ones. What really stands out is they’re focusing on players who truly shine in that attacking midfield role, the ones who make things happen right before the goal. It’s all about who delivers in the final third, and that’s what this list is about.
We focused on players who are a natural fit for the Attacking Midfielder (AMF) position, specifically those with playstyles like Creative Playmakers, Hole Players, and Classic Number 10s. While some players could be used as an AMF, we left out wide attackers and more defensive midfielders who don’t truly excel in that role.
This list prioritizes how well characters perform in the current game, focusing on how effective, quick to react, and impactful they are, rather than just how popular they are. Because the game is constantly being updated and new characters are released, these rankings will likely shift over time.
1. Pavel Nedvěd
- Card Version: Epic European Clubs Attackers
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Pavel Nedvěd is a fantastic player to use in the game, and that’s been true even in his previous versions. This new card is even better! His combination of ‘Phenomenal Pass’ and ‘Phenomenal Finishing’ makes him a threat in the attack, as he’s always contributing to both setting up goals and scoring them himself.
He’s a naturally gifted player who excels at finding open space and connecting with his teammates. He has excellent ball control, turns quickly, and still possesses a powerful long-range shot when he gets it lined up. Importantly, he maintains a high work rate and stamina throughout the entire game, constantly driving forward.
2. Kaká
- Card Version: Epic Breakthrough Pass A
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
Kaká consistently ranks highly because of his quick, attacking style. As soon as he receives the ball, he immediately drives forward, carrying it into the opponent’s territory and putting immediate pressure on their defense. This is also why I ranked him highly in other assessments.
He’s a fast and strong player who isn’t afraid of physical challenges and excels at dribbling through the center of the field. He creates scoring opportunities just by moving with the ball, which forces defenders to react and opens up space. Based on playing with him, he’s the type of creative playmaker who really thrives in a quick, attacking team.
3. Eden Hazard
- Card Version: Epic English League Midfielders
- Playing Style: Classic No. 10
Hazard deserves his high ranking in AMF because he’s incredibly smooth and natural with the ball. As soon as you start playing with him, it’s clear he captures the best of his time at Chelsea. His in-game dribbling is excellent, especially when making quick cuts inside or changing direction while being pressured by defenders.
This player is tough to take the ball from, and his good strength helps him hold his position. He’s also a reliable shooter, meaning he can often score when he gets close to the goal. He’s a valuable asset, and I recommend using the Epic National Attackers version if you have the opportunity.
4. Michel Platini
- Card Version: Epic National Midfielders
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
Platini also appears in the AMF rankings, which isn’t unexpected. He excels playing just behind the main striker, but he’s equally capable as a central playmaker. He thrives in that space between midfield and attack, comfortably receiving the ball and dictating the play.
Playing as an attacking midfielder, this player excels at controlling the game in the final third of the field. He doesn’t constantly rush forward, but instead relies on smart timing and positioning. He’s capable of carrying the ball, making precise passes, or taking shots when opportunities arise. If you’re looking for a composed and thoughtful attacking midfielder, this player is a great fit.
5. Lionel Messi
- Card Version: Big Time New Year
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
Lionel Messi also appears in the attacking midfield rankings, although many believe he excels more as a second forward. The competition is particularly fierce at attacking midfield, which explains why he’s ranked here instead of in a top position.
Playing as an attacking midfielder, Messi still excels at dribbling and moving with the ball, particularly in crowded areas. He can easily overcome defenders and create scoring opportunities without needing long passing sequences. While he’s even more dangerous when playing as a second striker with more freedom near the goal, the attacking midfield role requires a more well-rounded game, especially in terms of passing. Despite this, Messi remains one of the best options for this position, though it’s a more competitive field.
6. Johan Cruyff
- Card Version: Epic World Classics
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Although I consider the Deep-Lying Forward version better overall, this Cruyff card deserves a spot in the Advanced Midfielder rankings. Despite having only one special skill, it’s a powerful and easy-to-use card, especially when played in the center of the field.
As a FIFA player, Cruyff always felt like someone who just glided across the pitch, and this version really captures that. His dribbling is fantastic, the ball feels glued to his feet, and his movement is so fluid. Honestly, he barely ever loses possession. I can use him in a bunch of attacking positions, but I think he’s best as an attacking midfielder – he’s got the creativity, makes runs all over the place, and can finish really well. That’s why he’s ranked so high on my list.
7. Andres Iniesta
- Card Version: Epic Spanish League Midfielders
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Okay, so playing with Iniesta feels exactly how you’d want a classic attacking midfielder to feel. He’s super smooth, makes really smart decisions, and just looks totally comfortable with the ball at his feet. What really stands out is how naturally he finds space – it doesn’t feel forced at all. And with the Momentum Dribbling feature, just gliding through midfield and pushing into the attack feels amazing, honestly effortless.
While his goal totals aren’t spectacular, he’s still effective at finishing opportunities when they come. He’s composed with the ball and doesn’t often lose possession. Once he gains momentum, he’s very difficult to stop, particularly if defenders try to match his physicality.
8. Neymar Jr
- Card Version: Epic Worldwide
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Neymar excels because he’s dangerous near the goal. While not a typical central attacking midfielder, his dribbling and speed are difficult to defend when he plays further forward. His playstyle allows him to find open space and become a real scoring threat.
He’s a nimble player who excels at dodging opponents and quickly changing direction. When he gets some space, he can easily create scoring opportunities or finish plays without needing a lot of preparation. He’s sometimes ranked a bit lower in evaluations due to weaknesses in passing or because of specific end-game player cards, like those featuring Messi.
9. Zico
- Card Version: Epic National Attackers
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
Zico excels as an attacking midfielder when he has room to operate near the penalty area. He’s a skillful player who contributes with his ball control, passing ability, and long-range shooting, rather than being effective all over the field.
This playstyle allows for a lot of movement and the ability to make exciting plays. He’s good at connecting plays and maintaining offensive pressure, but he lacks the sheer power and special abilities of the very best players.
10 (1). Roberto Baggio
- Card Version: Epic Italian League Attackers
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
Baggio’s lower ranking in AMF is due to his gameplay style. This version of the card is designed to play a more defensive, controlling role in the final third of the field, rather than aggressively pushing forward for goals like his previous cards.
As a fan, I’ve been really impressed with Baggio. He’s so graceful with the ball and you can always count on him to make smart plays in that space between the midfield and attack. If you love a team that likes to build slowly and keep the ball, especially in those tricky areas, he’s perfect. His passing is incredible, and he shines best playing just behind a powerful striker – he can both set up chances and unleash some amazing long shots!
10 (2). Ruud Gullit
- Card Version: Epic AC Milan
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Gullit and Baggio are currently ranked similarly in the AMF system, but many players would likely prefer to see Gullit play a more attacking role. Even as an AMF, he’s a valuable asset due to his tireless work rate and ability to cover a lot of ground.
He’s not focused on dictating the pace of the game; instead, he excels at joining attacks and providing support. He can advance the ball, get into good scoring areas, and add a strong physical presence in the penalty box. One reason for his lower ranking is his stamina, which doesn’t quite seem up to par for this position.
