eFootball 2026 National Legends Epic Sunil Chhetri card review

Okay, so eFootball 2026 had a pretty good update back in November 2025 – it really let me start building the team I wanted. There are tons of events going on now, plus new packs and Selection Contracts to grind. But the best part for me, as an Indian player, is finally getting an Epic version of Sunil Chhetri in the game! It’s awesome.

The iconic Indian footballer is now available in the 900-coin National Legends pack and also for purchase in the store for just INR 30 – a great deal! Many players are likely wondering if he’s a worthwhile addition to their team, or just a pick for fans of the past. Here’s my assessment after testing him out.

  • Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing

At first glance, this card doesn’t seem very special, and that’s just the honest truth. It’s hyped as being as good as a top-level Player of the Week striker, reaching an overall rating of 101 with a booster, and it’s a positive that it’s an Epic card for the striker position. However, its actual performance doesn’t live up to the expectations.

Even though I initially didn’t emphasize the card’s stats, they’re actually quite impressive for a striker you can get for a set price. He’s well-rounded, with stats above 90 in key attacking areas like awareness, finishing, speed, acceleration, and balance. Overall, this is a very strong card.

You’d definitely have to evaluate his performances, and based on what I’ve seen, he reminds me of a smaller version of Romario. He doesn’t quite have the same effortless style, but he’s a reliable goal scorer with excellent movement and positioning, and he’s surprisingly strong for his size.

He does have some weaknesses. Because of how I created him, he’s very physically weak. He can’t really compete in the air, and his stamina is a major problem – he tires out around the 60-minute mark, which is expected given this version of him is based on a 39-year-old player.

He’d be most effective as a substitute player, and I definitely recommend developing that role for him. He also absolutely needs the One Touch Pass skill – his short passing is excellent for a center forward.

Should you draw for Epic Sunil Chhetri in eFootball 2026

If you’re aiming for the 900-coin Selection Contract, I recommend going for it. You’re guaranteed an epic card, and it’ll be one you can actually use in your team. The real value, though, is in the 30 INR pack – you get 10 eFootball Coins and a Chhetri card with it!
