The latest update for , version 5.3.0, is now available! A major addition is controller support, which mobile players have been eagerly awaiting and console players will be happy to hear about. However, currently on mobile, controllers only work in AI match modes.

I’m really excited for when they finally add PvP support! I’ve heard it might not be perfectly balanced at first, but they’re planning to include it in a future update, which is great. Even as it is now, though, the game feels much better, especially if you’re good at controlling things on a console. It’s a huge improvement!

Connecting and playing via Wireless Controller

You can follow the steps below on both Android and iOS devices in the same way.

  • Turn on your controller and put it into pairing mode. The connection will be via Bluetooth.
  • For PlayStation controllers: hold PS + Create/Share until the light flashes, and for Xbox controllers: hold the Pair button near the top. You can use any other controller make as well. I’m using EasySMX X15, which works amazingly.
  • Open Settings on your phone and go to Bluetooth.
  • Wait for your controller name to appear and tap it. Confirm the pairing.
  • Once it shows as connected, you’re good to go.

  • Most phones don’t have a full-size USB port, so this adapter is what lets your phone connect to the controller properly. They are pretty cheap and easily available.
  • Once you have the adapter, plug the USB-C end into your phone.

  • Your phone should recognize the controller almost instantly, no extra settings needed.
