eFootball 2026 Guide: How to obtain and use Progression Points

eFootball 2026 is a top-rated mobile football game that’s constantly improving with new features. This guide focuses on how to use the game’s training system, including Level Training Programs and Progression Points – explaining how to earn them and what they do to help you improve your team.

It seems like many players are confused about certain aspects of the game, likely because the official website didn’t explain them very well. This guide will clearly explain Level Training Programs – how to get them and how to use them. We’ll also cover Progression Points in detail, including how to earn them and use them effectively in eFootball 2026.

Training Players through Experience Points in eFootball 2026

The Level Training Program is a feature within the game that lets players improve their cards. Players level up by earning Experience Points, and there are two main ways to do so:

1. Playing Matches

The primary way to gain Experience is by playing matches. Your Player Cards earn Experience Points in every Game Mode, and the amount of Experience earned depends on your Manager’s Affinity.

Managers often favor certain players over others. Some prefer those who play forward positions, while others focus on developing young talent. As players improve, they might also earn progression points.

2. Level Training Programs

You can also earn Experience Points by using Level Training Programs. These programs (formerly called trainers) boost your Player Cards’ Experience Points, helping them level up.

Okay, so these Level Training Programs are awesome for boosting your characters! They give you a multiplier to the experience points you earn – you can get boosts of 100x, 1000x, 4000x, or even a massive 10,000x! I can use whichever ones are available to really level up my players quickly, which is great.

How to get Level Training Programs in eFootball 2026

Now that we know what Level Training Programs are, let us now see the ways to acquire the same:

1. By participating in various in-game Events

You can earn Level Training Programs by participating in in-game events like Tour Events and Challenge Events, and potentially Online eFootball League Events in the future. Be sure to join these events if you want to quickly improve your players.

2. Releasing players from your team

You can let go of players you don’t need, and doing so will give you Level Training Programs in eFootball 2026. The number of programs you receive depends on the released player’s stats and their card type.

Okay, so here’s the deal with Legendary Cards. If you’ve got more than one of the *same* card – like multiple Iniesta or Messi cards – you should release the extras. Basically, the game now treats all the different versions of a specific player card as just *one* card. So, if it looks like you have duplicates, it’s probably because they’ve been combined into a single version. Get rid of the ones you don’t need!

To maximize your rewards from Level Training Programs, we recommend keeping only one standard Legend version and one Iconic Moment version of each player card. These versions are easily identified by their gold and pink backgrounds and a single difference in overall rating (OVR). Please release any duplicate versions of these cards.

3. From the shop

You can also get Training Programs using your eFootball Points. These don’t cost many points, and the price varies based on the program’s experience multiplier. For example, a Training Program worth 4,000 EXP costs just 5,000 eFootball Points.

4. Progression points

In eFootball 2026, simply improving a Player’s level doesn’t automatically increase their overall rating. Instead, they earn Progression Points. Let’s take a closer look at what these points actually do.

Progression Points are used in the game to improve your players’ stats and enhance your team’s playstyle. You’ll need to distribute these points to both player development and team upgrades.

How to use Progression Points efficiently in eFootball 2026

This section explains how to get Progression Points and how to best use the ones you’ve already earned on your Player Card. Let’s start with how to earn them…

  • Navigate to the My Team tab and go to Players.
  • You should next tap on the Player Card that you want to train and choose Level Training from the options.
  • Next, they should feed the player with Level Training Programs by choosing from the available programs. Once the Player Card gets levelled up to the max level, it receives something known as Experience Points.
  • Now, come back, tap on that Player Card again, and choose the Player Progression option.

Previously, we showed player information in two sections: Player Stats and Team Playstyle Proficiency. However, the Team Playstyle Proficiency section has been removed for the 2024 update. Now, let’s focus on the remaining section, which displays your player’s overall stats.

Player Stats

The Player Stats section helps you develop your players’ skills in all areas. Players have different attributes, such as place kicking, curl, finishing, and passing (both low and lofted). We’ve now simplified these into 10 main categories for easier tracking.

We’ve simplified things by combining the Place Kicking, Curl, and Finishing skills into one category called Shooting.

To use Progression Points effectively, you need to identify the specific skill category where your player needs improvement. Which category you choose depends on the player’s position.
