eFootball 2026 Epic Manchester United (Ferdinand, Rooney, Fletcher) pack review

Epic packs are still coming regularly to eFootball 2026, and the latest one focuses on Manchester United. Following a recent pattern of packs featuring both attackers and well-rounded players, this ‘Epic Manchester United’ pack highlights three legendary players who were key to the club’s success.

This team includes Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, and Darren Fletcher, each with unique strengths and playing styles. Ferdinand is making his first appearance, so he’ll be a key focus, but Rooney and Fletcher are also fantastic players. Let’s examine what each one offers on the field.

eFootball 2026 Epic Manchester United Players

Rio Ferdinand

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Build Up
  • Show Time Skill: Aerial Fort and Fortress

This version of Rio Ferdinand is the perfect defensive cornerstone. He’s physically imposing and excels in the air – his height and skill alone tell you everything you need to know about his dominance.

I enjoyed controlling him and found he excels at disrupting the opponent’s passing with well-timed runs and starting attacks from deeper areas. He makes clean tackles and consistently stays disciplined defensively, rarely being caught out of place.

Okay, so this defender is seriously good – his positioning and tackling are top-tier, especially considering how many strong centre-backs we’re collecting in Destroyer now. This one *feels* different, though. Honestly, the card’s stats feel a little off, and his first touch is kinda clunky – it needs some tweaking for sure.

I’ve suggested a build focused on passing (7-8-8-11) to help offset his weaknesses, and I believe it’s the optimal setup for him. I recommend prioritizing Acrobatic Clearance and Heading as his key skills.

Wayne Rooney

  • Position: SS
  • Playing Style: Hole Player
  • Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Finishing and Phenomenal Pass

Rooney’s new card is excellent, with well-rounded stats and no obvious weaknesses. He excels as a versatile attacking midfielder, naturally finding space to connect passes. Depending on how you build him, all of his offensive stats can exceed 80, making him a threat in multiple areas of the field.

Even with his initial card, this player’s dribbling always stood out, and it’s still excellent now. His finishing is fantastic thanks to his shooting ability, but I was most impressed by his passing – it’s remarkably accurate, even when under pressure.

While his speed isn’t exceptional, he compensates with excellent awareness and ball control. It’s still too early to fully evaluate his performance in the air, but it appears solid. He’s comparable to Cruyff, though I’d rate Cruyff slightly higher than Rooney.

I tried him out as a supporting forward in a few games, and his ability to connect with teammates immediately stood out. He works particularly well alongside playmaking midfielders or strong target forwards, especially when you need quick, one-touch passing to create space. His default build-up play is decent, but you might want to increase his pace if you need him to move faster.

Darren Fletcher

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Pass

Most players probably won’t be rushing to get this card, but the player it represents is surprisingly good both in the game and in real life. KONAMI has given this card strong stats and a versatile playstyle, making it effective as either a center back or defensive midfielder.

This player is a dependable midfielder who consistently performs his role effectively. He’s strong at pressing opponents, winning loose balls, and diligently tracking back to defend. He’s a committed defender and plays with noticeable intensity in one-on-one challenges.

I recommend giving him the skills Heading, Fighting Spirit, and Acrobatic Clearance. If you’re determined to use him as a DMF, Through Passing would also be useful. While he lacks some ST-specific skills at CB, he’s generally a very good card.

Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Epic Manchester United Players

This set of Manchester United cards is quite strong, with Rio and Rooney being particularly good options to start with. Each card offers unique benefits, and all three could easily fit into a starting lineup depending on how you like to play.

Whether this pack is worth it really comes down to what your team needs. I wasn’t impressed with the players included, and if you’re building a team similar to Van Dijk but want someone quicker and bigger, I’d recommend Rio instead.

Pack Rating: 3.5 out of 5
