eFootball 2026 continues to celebrate football’s history with its special Epic cards, and the new Madrid Chamartin B pack is a treat for Real Madrid supporters. It includes three iconic players from the club’s past: Michael Owen, Claude Makélélé, and Steve McManaman.
I’ve thoroughly reviewed the Epic cards in the eFootball 2026 Madrid Chamartín B pack. Here’s my ranking of the cards in a tier list, along with my recommendation on whether or not it’s worth using your spins on this pack.
eFootball 2026 Epic Madrid Chamartin B players
Claude Makélélé
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Showtime Skills: Phenomenal Pass and Fortress
Claude Makélélé is known as the standard for defensive midfielders in eFootball, and this card continues that tradition. His Chelsea versions have always been incredibly strong, and this one maintains that same powerful defensive style.
This card is a defensive powerhouse. It has exceptional awareness and tackling skills, combined with relentless aggression and incredible speed and acceleration. These qualities make it one of the best players for winning back possession in the game.
He’s a really solid player, often better than people realize. He holds onto the ball well, makes accurate passes, and stays calm under pressure. However, his in-game skills – ‘Fortress’ and ‘Phenomenal Pass’ – don’t quite live up to expectations for a card styled after Claude Makélélé.
Adding Long Reach Tackle would have made this character incredibly overpowered. Right now, he’s still very strong, but lacks that final bit of power you’d expect from a top-level threat.
Suggested Skills: Through Passing, No Look Pass, Heel Trick, Sole Control, Aerial Superiority
Suggested Booster(s): Strength, Duelling, Shutdown
Suggested Progression Points Allocation for Makelele

Michael Owen
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Showtime Skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Acceleration Burst
This is a popular Michael Owen card in eFootball. The turquoise highlights on his offensive awareness, finishing, speed, and acceleration give you a good idea of his strengths. Because his acceleration is already high thanks to auto build, you can further improve his other stats with training.
With incredibly quick acceleration and top-tier speed, this player is a serious threat making runs behind the defense. He’s also very clever at finding open space, constantly moving into good positions. And with a finishing stat in the low 90s, he should be reliable in front of goal.
You can easily set dribbling to around 90, and adjust it to your preference. However, physicality remains a consistent weakness. With my player build, I’ve maximized it at 75 without sacrificing other important stats, but he still struggles in physical battles against defenders, making him a weak striker in one-on-one situations.
If you don’t like seeing players like Mbappé or Romário use their agility to beat defenders, Michael Owen might find those same situations more difficult. However, if your gameplay focuses on speed and finishing, Owen can be a very effective and quick goal scorer.
Suggested Skills: Double Touch, Long Range Shooting, Sole Control, Fighting Spirit, One Touch Pass
Suggested Booster(s): Off the Ball, Ball Carrying
Suggested Progression Points Allocation for Owen
| Shooting | Passing | Dribbling | Dexterity | Lower Body Strength | Aerial Strength | Defending | GK 1/2/3 |

| 6 | 1 | 10 | 9 | 8 | 6 | 0 | 0 |
Steve McManaman
- Position: RMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skills: Momentum Dribbling
It’s great to see McManaman finally added to eFootball, and his initial card looks promising. As a right midfielder, he offers a good combination of speed, dribbling skills, and creative playmaking. He’s fast, handles the ball well, and feels very agile in the game.
Honestly, this guy’s dribbling is amazing. He’s super balanced and fast, so he can really push the ball up the field. His passing is solid, and he can finish plays okay, especially if you build him right. He’s just a well-rounded player who can contribute all over the pitch without feeling like he’s being wasted anywhere.
Overall, this card is decent. While it works with the Creative Playmaker style, it doesn’t significantly improve that playstyle compared to other wingers. It doesn’t really change the current best strategies in the game, and feels a little underwhelming for a new card release.
Recommended abilities include long-distance shooting, curving the ball from outside the field, a strong fighting spirit, low passes, and precise ball control.
Suggested Booster(s): Breakthrough
Suggested Progression Points Allocation for McManaman
| Shooting | Passing | Dribbling | Dexterity | Lower Body Strength | Aerial Strength | Defending | GK 1/2/3 |

Best pick from the Epic Madrid Chamartin B pack in eFootball 2026
I was hoping to get Makelele when I opened this pack, but I pulled Owen instead. Still, it’s a pretty good pack overall because it includes players with three different positions and playing styles, so you’re likely to get a useful player no matter what.
If you’re aiming for the very best characters, I’d recommend holding off for now. These are nearly top-tier, but not quite. Better options with powerful special abilities are on the way, so it’s worth waiting for those.
Here’s my final cards tier list and pack rating.
