In eFootball 2026, special ‘Epic’ packs are appearing often, and a new one called ‘European Clubs Guardians’ has just been released. This pack features updated versions of popular players like Pepe, Maicon, and Berjuan.

A lot of players are probably wondering about the new Legend versions of Pepe and Berjuan, and whether they’re worth trying to get. I’ve tested them out in eFootball 2026, and here’s my honest review and how they perform.

Pepe

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Show Time Skills: Fortress and Long Reach Tackle

Pepe is a standout defender – his stats speak for themselves. They clearly show he was a dominant force in his prime, consistently strong on defense and very aggressive when challenging opponents.

His stats clearly show he’s a tough, aggressive defender: he challenges opponents, wins the ball quickly, and physically dominates attackers. His kit focuses on strong, direct defending, and a longer reach would have been a useful boost. An ability focused on winning aerial duels would have been even more effective, though.

I didn’t want to sacrifice any of his skills, so I lowered his defensive stats a bit. He tends to push forward a lot, leaving space to be exploited. With my build focusing on speed – he’s already at 90 – this creates a really well-rounded player, and I recommend it.

Maicon

  • Position: RB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
  • Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Pass and Edged Crossing

Maicon’s physique immediately suggests he’s an attacking fullback – built for constantly running up the field and playing wide. He excels at passing, making abilities like ‘Phenomenal Pass’ and ‘Edged Crossing’ a perfect fit for his style of play.

He’s built to deliver crosses and long passes throughout the game, and his stats support that style of play. While designed to be an attacking player, he’s solid defensively and can hold his own. His greatest asset is his speed – he’s incredibly fast on the field.

He’s physically imposing and has a powerful kick, suggesting he can beat defenders and shoot when he gets an opening. I found his shooting ability to be particularly strong in testing. While he’s not a strong defender, you can utilize his attacking strengths by playing him as a Right Midfielder and letting him focus on scoring.

Maicon

  • Position: LB
  • Playing Style: Defensive Wingback
  • Show Time Skills: Edged Crossing

Sergi looks like a promising Defensive Fullback – his skills and attributes suggest he’ll be a solid defender. He’s particularly disciplined and strong in defensive situations, meaning he’s likely to excel in individual matchups and hold his position effectively.

He’s aggressive enough to quickly engage, but doesn’t take unnecessary risks. He projects as a dependable and consistent linebacker who stays disciplined in his assignments. Plus, his ability to rush the passer makes his speed rush moves effective.

He didn’t often make runs forward, suggesting he doesn’t use that ability very much. While he can contribute to attacks and deliver accurate passes when the opportunity arises, his overall strengths are much more focused on defending.

Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Epic European Clubs Guardians

This pack was pretty good overall, but nothing special. The new cards were a nice addition, but the players featured aren’t likely to draw a lot of attention. They could have made it more appealing with better skills or player selections, though there have been many excellent packs released previously.
