The new eFootball 2026 is celebrating the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 25 with a lot of in-game events and prizes. Players can enjoy the typical features like card packs and challenges, but the biggest draw is the opportunity to earn a powerful Epic version of El-Hadji Diouf without spending any money.
After all the effort to get it, the big question is: Is this new unlock just a fun throwback, or will it actually be a helpful player to use in eFootball 2026? Let’s take a closer look.
How to unlock Epic El-Hadji Diouf in eFootball 2026
This time, Diouf isn’t available through standard packs or as a direct purchase. Instead, you’ll unlock him by playing through the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 25 tournament, which features league stages and knockout rounds played against AI opponents.
To earn the card, participate in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 25 tournament. It’s divided into two parts: the Group Stage and the Knockouts. First, finish all the matches in the Group Stage to unlock the Knockout stage. Then, compete in the Round of 16, Semi-Finals, and Finals – you can choose any difficulty level to play.
eFootball 2026 Epic El-Hadji Diouf Review
El-Hadji Diouf
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing
Initially, Diouf might seem like an unremarkable player – easily overlooked. Some have quickly labeled him as just another typical “Player of the Week” forward, dismissing him as not worth the effort in the tournament, but that assessment is inaccurate.
If you dig a little deeper than just the stats, this card is actually quite impressive. Considering it’s a free card, the combination of speed, strength, and shooting ability is surprisingly good. All of the key attacking stats are very high, exceeding 90.
He’s a really effective player. He’s fast and reacts quickly to the ball, always staying in the play. His shooting is solid, and he has a lot of power behind his shots, even from difficult positions. I tested it myself, and the accuracy is excellent.

Okay, so his dribbling isn’t amazing, but he doesn’t feel slow out there. I can actually pull off double touches pretty easily, and it doesn’t feel clunky at all. He’s built pretty well physically, which means he can hold his own, shield the ball, and turn with defenders – it’s a good base to work with!
This version of the card also gives you a connection to Liverpool, letting you use it in many English League events – there are a lot of those in both AI and user-run matches. It’s a great free card overall, and I recommend getting it.
