In the latest update of the game eFootball, a fresh new season brings along enticing packs that you can’t resist. Among these, the Over-the-Top Pass A set stands out as one of the top choices for the upcoming 2026 season. This particular set offers an exciting blend of legendary and active players, all equipped with the newly introduced Show Time abilities.
The roster boasts two Milan legends, Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard, together with Inter’s Lautaro Martínez and Nicolò Barella in peak performance. Each player offers a distinct skillset, so let’s delve into their talents individually.
eFootball 2026 Over-the-Top Pass A Players
Marco van Basten
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Momentum Dribbling
As a devoted football enthusiast, there’s nothing quite as exhilarating as unleashing the Goal Poacher Van Basten on the field! His extraordinary FITB version is truly a dream come true for many fans. With more frequent appearances in this card and two stellar Striker abilities included, you’ll find that he lives up to his reputation every time you bring him onto the pitch. Simply put, it’s an experience like no other!

His shots are consistently accurate, akin to playing a card where one attempt typically results in a score. This isn’t unexpected, and even with my configuration, I’ve prioritized fewer points towards improving his dribbling abilities, but he has yet to miss a shot. His heading skills are acceptable as well; if you wish to enhance those statistics, feel free to do so.
Many may be wondering if Momentum Dribbling is effective. Absolutely, it is! He’s quite agile to maneuver around with, and the Double Touch skill he possesses makes it simple to quickly pass and shoot. However, his standout feature is his exceptional positioning and running speed, which allows him to sprint effectively and score goals.
Frank Rijkaard
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Show Time Skills: Fortress and Visionary Pass
Here, Rijkaard plays as a versatile midfielder, and his defensive prowess makes him seem like an immovable barrier for our backline. He excels in disrupting offensive plays, making well-timed tackles, and simply being a nuisance that I’m certain opposing teams would rather avoid.

Instead of rushing off wildly, he moves thoughtfully, making it hard to spot him departing from his post. However, I’d suggest attaching a ‘Focal Point’ label to him, as such players are crucial for holding down the center.
This card stands out due to its exceptional passing abilities, enhanced by the Visionary Pass skill. If you’re seeking a midfielder who combines strategic control with both strong defense and excellent distribution, Rijkaard would be an excellent choice for you. My ideal midfield lineup is Rijkaard, Matthaus, and Zico. What a formidable team that would make!
Lautaro Martínez
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Blitz Curler
While he may excel in statistics and be a valuable starter for numerous teams, it’s essential to note that if you’re seeking a lethal “Blitz,” expectations might need to be tempered. However, when it comes to his striker attributes, I can assure you, they are unquestionably strong, making him a solid choice.

Lautaro steps in as the energetic choice for a forward, sharing some characteristics with Bastein but lacking his exceptional goal-scoring ability and aerial skills. However, Lautaro is known for his tireless endurance, always bustling about, harassing defenders, and seeking opportunities to break through.
Currently, the Blitz issue is something I’ve observed not just with myself, but also with Christian Vieri. The Curl isn’t particularly robust, and due to this, there’s no flexibility to tweak those Finishing stats either. It’s quite frustrating, I must admit. I believe an Acceleration Burst would have been a more viable choice, but unfortunately, that didn’t turn out to be the case.
Nicolò Barella
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Pass
This card could have served as the fundamental building block for a B2B player, but due to the recent shift towards the Link-Up style, it got stuck. However, Barella remains the driving force on the field. He is the type of midfielder who exerts influence all over the pitch. He applies intense pressure, wins crucial battles, and swiftly moves the ball forward once he gains possession.

His unyielding energy is evident throughout the game, ensuring he remains effective even in the late stages. This consistency makes him an indispensable midfielder within this group. However, I wouldn’t advise using him solely as a defensive midfielder (DMF). Instead, I’d suggest setting him up as a central midfielder (CMF), with a dedicated DMF partnering alongside him for balanced performance.
Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Over-the-Top Pass A players
This collection is quite varied. Generally, I wouldn’t advocate for the 200 player packs, but I found myself having better results with this one and the first Link-Up pack, Diagonal Long Pass A. In comparison to the Long Pass A, this update shows significant improvement.
To be completely honest, I wouldn’t choose this pack 100% of the time, but it’s almost perfect. The strength of this pack is exceptional, especially with players like Basten and Rijkaard who earn most of the points. If it included Gullit, I might give it a full rating. However, getting such a dream team from these new two Striker skill packs is just wishful thinking.
Pack Rating: 4 out of 5
