Smart Assist changes finally arrive for PvP

The biggest change in update v5.5.0 is a restriction on Smart Assist during player-versus-player (PvP) matches. KONAMI has also prevented players from changing their Smart Assist settings mid-match, a feature many competitive players requested. This resolves previous uncertainties and clarifies how Smart Assist will function in PvP.

New packs arrive

The best players from the English League season are now available! Declan Rice leads the way with his special skills, Visionary Pass and Long-Range Tackle. He’s joined by Erling Haaland, who features Bullet Header and Fighting Spirit, and newcomer Hugo Ekitiké, bringing Phenomenal Finishing and Acceleration Burst to the game.

Darwin Núñez is receiving a special pack of items worth 500 coins, featuring his ‘Bullet Header’ skill. David Alaba will also be available in a dedicated pack costing 750 coins. Plus, look out for a new update this Saturday! A 50-player pack headlined by Casemiro’s Show Time skill will be released.

You can also find the English League Player of the Season selections, along with the Nominating Contract. This season’s division reward is Show Time Nico Schlotterbeck, a player who specializes in long-range tackling.

eFootball League updates

This update improves the eFootball League’s matchmaking and how player ratings are calculated. Importantly, you won’t be relegated from Division 1 to Division 3 mid-Phase anymore, which means less frustration when trying to improve your rank.

KONAMI has updated how player Ratings work at the start of each new season. Your initial Rating will be based on the highest Division you achieved in the previous season. Also, seasons are now shorter, lasting 21 days, and Division-based Ratings will begin when players reach 1400 points.

Game Plan updates

Beyond player-versus-player battles, you can now save up to 20 custom team strategies. We’ve also added a “Select All” button to the “My Team” screen to simplify managing your roster. Plus, we’ve made it easier to release multiple players at once – any players you’ve locked will stay protected, even if you accidentally select them for removal.

New Epic arrivals

Although KONAMI hasn’t officially announced it, players have discovered new face scans included with the latest v5.5.0 update.
